Better than most Walmarts in a lot of ways. However, I went to buy some white wine for cooking our Thanksgiving turkey and the cashier was profiling my niece and refused to sell me the $2 cooking wine because she's not 21. She wasn't even near the liquor store she was by the bathrooms. The lady let me shop, ask questions about what they had available and go to the checkout before making a big embarrassing scene. I'm white and my niece is half native so she was clearly racially profiling.

Not bicycle friendly. They won't let you take your bike into the store for 'safety and security' reasons even if you keep your bike with you the entire time. If you lock your bike up at the rack outside of the store, there is a good chance your bike will be stolen as all the cameras are pointed away from this location and there are people waiting in vans to steal bikes in the parking lot. Instead of patrolling, the security they have hired just stands around chatting up their homies at the front entrance. Their lower level employees are rude and have a poor grasp of the English language. The store is a magnet for crime and bums. I will say this though, their customer service is exemplary and their management polite.

It is one of the larger stores,... Super clean, VERY neatly stocked, and very helpful staff,..so willing to help in any way. It should be a "model" for ALL WalMart stores everywhere. So many are a mess on the shelves,.. which actually may be Geographical,... the caliber of RESPECT the people of this area respect a 'One Stop Shop' store. Kudos to the people and the managers of Anchorage, AK...WalMart

Friendly customer service, I love the people that work there they are always nice and friendly when I ask for help :) really wish they had better produce and a better selection though and I wish they had a better selection when it comes to the clothing but I like what they do have and most the prices are pretty good! Tough to find a decent reasonably priced selection of clothes in Alaska so that's saying a lot :)

Came home from work to a hysterically upset girlfriend, who told me she was robbed at Walmart. The scam in question is a person asking to sell their Walmart gift card for a lesser amount in cash near the entrance and customer service counter. Scam is potentially in cahoots with customer service employee who verified the balance on gift card at customer service counter but when used at Checkout there's a $0.00 balance. I immediately returned to store to speak with manager who took our statement and advised us to file a police report. Manager made no attempt to question customer service employee or even inquire which employee was involved. Ultimately it wasn't their problem. Guess what's not my problem ? Finding a parking spot at Walmart because I'll never return as a customer. Waited over a year to get a reply or some kind of corporate response from Walmart. Received nothing ! Walmart now receives nothing from me either. Good riddance Walmart !!! You've now become a lifelong boycott of mine due to your complete lack of standards, unprofessionalism and below par customer service.
