It's good, as usual. Liked exactly this one as it has macdonalds inside. More than convinient to walk around, shope, have fun and then go eat something. Actually that the only place around to eat after 18.00 as the shoping mall is closed.
EDITED** Convenience all in a one stop shop? Almost every time I go, the shelves are empty. Or the last item is left. BEWARE IF YOU ARE BUYING MILK PRODUCTS FROM THIS STORE. YOU SHOULD MAKE SURE THE MILK IS GOOD EVEN IF THE DATE IS STILL OK. 3X IVE GOTTEN 2% MILK IN A 2L CARTON AND ITS BEEN BAD. CHUNKY AND SMELLY! . Side note baskets are not available according to a store worker… So grab a kart or be ready to carry thing’s. They really need to expand their dedicated parking lot. However as frustrating as it is to literally fight for a parking spot at the front. There’s plenty of parking around the other entrance to the mall. Be prepared to walk if you have parked in the mall parking lot. As the Walmart shopping carts don’t let you go that far. They have a “few” good staff that actually help. And then there’s staff that don’t seem to care less about helping. Prices are always good. I notice it is usually the most busy during mid day and the afternoon. If you want a shopping cart, make sure you have a dollar. Or ask customer service if you don’t and they usually help. Now they have baskets on wheels so it’s better then pushing a squeaky wheeled shopping cart Unless you have heavy/large items or amounts.
I had a really good experience with Micah, the shop assistant in baby formula department. We checked online says there is formula in stock, but when we arrive the shop, the shelf is empty. Micah showed up, I told her we are desperate looking for baby formula as we went several shops already. But this location says in stock. She said, let me check our inventory, she came with the formula!! We are blown away by her kindness!! I had experience asking different shop assistant, they would just say, whatever we have on the shelf is what we have and left. Micah is amazing!! Thanks so much!!
Was here today around 1pm and the queues were so long and only 2 cashiers and 1 self check out till. The manager on was busy "making busy work". Ratted off an announcement in her Indian accent that was incomprehensible. And despite the long queues, didn't step up to open a new till. She was busy having staff go on breaks instead of asking them to stay longer and get the oncoming staff to quickly open new tills to reduce the line. It was so poorly managed! Then when I finally got to the till with my screaming baby, the other guy beside the senior staff who looked like he was shadowing didn't even step up to help me bag. I bagged my own groceries in front of him while my baby screamed in the stroller and my hands are full. Great service Walmart! I will be shopping at Sungiven Foods and pay a few cents more for a better experience!
Definitely had a negative experience here. I could not find an employee for help in the grocery section. I went to customer service. They called someone three times, before she finally came. They said she was the department manager of Grocery. I could barely understand here she had such a horse voice from smoking. While she was explaining things to me, she would stop, and just make pokes at me, and say that I was just this stupid rich customer, and things of that nature. In the end I hadn't found what I was looking for. But by then, there was an hour long line of people returning things they bought, so I just said to heak with complaining there.
One of the worst stores for scam pricing. For some reason this store is always cheating people with the multiple item pricing. The sign shows a discount on multiples but you don't get it at check out. I guess Walmart likes to prey on seniors.
The pictures speak for themselves. This store is so poorly run items are out of stock and shelves are empty most of the time. The most basic thing a retail store needs to do is to restock before shelves go empty. At the North Van Walmart however, this is never done. The floor manager needs some training so customers can at least find the items they want when they go to the store. Empty shelves are a clear indication of poor management, and this happens not once, not twice, not three times but ALWAYS! Look at the photos and see for yourself!
The WORST customer service! I was hoping to print pictures and went into the store after 8pm, a lady told me photo centre is closed after 8, fair enough. I go back the next day, all machines are out of order... I get told to order from online. I make my order online. Get an email that photos are ready, go to the store, the guy looks for 30sec and says "sorry, we don't have them", tries to explain that maybe they will be in tomorrow, even though I received an email saying they were ready for pick up. The following day I call ahead because I'm tired of going to the store for nothing. I call the photo centre and it rings endlessly for over 10minutes, nobody picks up. So I call the electronics department which is just next door. Another 10min of ringing with no answer. I call the general customer service line, someone picks up after a few minutes of ringing. She tells me she will transfer me to the photo centre. I explain that I just tried calling there and it just rang endlessly, so what am I supposed to do if nobody picks up? She says to call her back so she can transfer me again... I laugh and she puts me on hold. What a joke. Hopefully I get my pictures one day.
Last week at the counter, their staff stopped me and my wife and promoted for Walmart Credit Card and the related advantages which I denied and she insisted and finally my wife accepted to apply, the staff told us that she need just 1-2 minutes for process and we get immediate approval and card number and we can use it right away, after her struggling with their terrible system and getting many errors and wasting our time for 45 minutes, she got a print from their system which my wife should contact to call center and then we left the store and after calling to call center, they told she will get a letter, and we got a letter that Walmart didn’t accept the application and my wife Credit Score dropped from 830 to 800 which made us very disappointed, we didn’t need to apply and Walmart staff insisted for it, we are very disappointed from this unacceptable services and wasting customer’s previous time and We strongly advise you not to waste your time for this type of promotions and applying… “In addition I have to inform that our financial records are very clean and without any problems or claims and we never ever had any delayed or missed any payments across Canada with credit score 800-830”.
This Walmart was nice and clean . Items were well organized and quite plentiful. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I found a good selection of all the items I was looking for. As the store is nice and big Social Distancing is not a problem so that made for a relaxed shop. I believe the store is better now than it was Pre Covid. I was also very pleased to see them removing all the Aunt Jemima products from the shelves while I was there. It was a good experience!
