It's a Walmart. Service was usually fast. See updates for more information on the tale of this mediocre establishment. Staff is still generally nice, at least. Update: They've removed several cash registers in favour of self checkout. Slows the whole operation down for anyone who doesn't want a camera shoved in their face and to be accused of stealing by a machine twice and a doorman once. What's so hard about just making a small bank of these machines rather than 12/18 See update 3, now down to 4 of the original 18 checkstands, favouring self checkout options which are slower, don't allow for proper distancing and are generally attended to be one very overworked employee registers being converted? Also, the produce is laughable at times. Or it comes wrapped in plastic for a single bell pepper. Update 1.1: They seem to have ditched this act of stupidity at least. Update 2: Was told they check all bags at the door, despite several customers ahead and behind me going through and the next customer checked was -also- a person of colour. Racism doesn't sell, folks. Update 2.1: They seem to have stopped this for the most part and returned the greeter to their duties of greeting rather than tasking them with dubious Loss Prevention tasks. Update 3: Been a minute since I went here, now Nov 2021 there's now turnstile-style gates on the store, makes going for a coffee at McDonald's much more awkward. Also made going from one of their only 4 remaining now, down from six, making checkout at busy times take 10+ minutes in my experience checkout stands to the self checkout area after their insistence that it would be faster incredibly awkward because everything is all cloistered off. Update 4: The saga of this Walmart becoming progressively more awful continues! December 2021, they had 20+ customers shoved between the four checkouts. No room for distancing, despite legal requirements. Reported to Public Health, who said they'd look into it. Glad I only need to visit about once a month. Update 5: They're back at the racial profiling, had issue with me rolling a cartload of stuff out, receipt in hand, but stopped the African man ahead of me and ignored the white woman behind me. Disgusting to do that.
What’s with checking the receipts at the exit? He literally watched me scan the items and pay- AS WELL as the attending who already watches you.. this creates unnecessary line ups. Majority of customers put the receipt in the bag and now your making us dig them out so you can check the cashier did there job right? I don’t get it
This was my go-to Walmart, normally shopping every weekend. Went there today, and they are checking your receipt before leaving the store- which they always sort of did when it was a large item- but now they were checking everyone's individual items. There was a line up of like 15+ people back to backless than a foot apart waiting to leave because there was only one employee checking everyone's receipt. At first I thought it was just people going through self checkout, but even clients who went to the cashier's were checked too. I had essentials so I had to go through with it, but LITERALLY not shopping there again. Going to the Superstore of Shoppers...never again
I need two things and it was a very quick trip in and out! I paid in electronics and the greeter was kind enough to let me out the doors without going through all the checkout mazes, as long as I had my receipt.
costco Wannabes. Inadequate staff, only 2 or two CASHIERS, and only a handful of self serve to only line up for another 5 min to get out of the store for elderly person to check countless recipes because Walmart can’t mitigate loss/prevention elsewhere. Will be finding new grocery stores.
It's walmart, the prices are low, the staff aren't real good with English and they practically make you serve yourself then harass you as you exit. Walmart, if you don't trust me to do your job then please employ more cashiers, it's pretty simple.
Walmart is often having items with great price. If you look carefully, great items are in clearance with unbeatable price. This location has McDonald inside as well.
Normally excellent service, but this morning was terrible. I purchased a small item that was on clearance, and the scanner came up with the same price of $0.02 twice with the proper SKU and description. I asked if I could purchase it at the scanned price and they refused. In a company that is replacing cashiers with self-serve they better get it right the first time. Today they didn't. Twice.
Sells just about everything at unbeatable prices. Speedy check outs. Friendly Staff, Clean and organized store. No plastic bags bring your own or take it too your vehicle in a cart.
I had a very nice cashier. She waited at the entrance of the till line to ask me if she could help me. Great service with a smile...
