Wonderfully cluttered used bookshop where navigating columns of paperbacks feels like an obstacle course at times. A bibliophile could spend hours here. The majority of books are organized, although you'll find the occasional book in odd places. They have a great room of kid books with a couch as well. Easy to get lost in this treasure trove.
*Warning; Those with severe cat alergies should be warned* An amazing local business days with an incredible number of books in lots and lots of genres. I feel like Belle from Disney's Beauty and the Beast from the sheer wall to wall selection of books. Also, be sure to if you're not allergic check out the rescue cats!
NOTE: The Owl's Nest closed September 20th, 2018. The Radical Edge will be expanding into its former space. I've been coming to the Owl's Nest since I was in middle school in the mid-90's, drawn in by a sidewalk sale, and they've been enabling my book addiction ever since. Their last day is tomorrow - September 20th, 2018 - and I am genuinely sorry to see them go.
If you love second hand books, this is the place to be. Floor to ceiling books of anything you can imagine. Don't forget to check out the second floor! Important! This store is cash only.
Used to love this place! Cant walk in anymore due to the overwhelming smell of cat urine. Plus being shot down for a book did not even bother to help me. I will not be going back.
A bit of a chaotic mess. If you like that kind of bookstore, you'll like this place. Cash only. I would have bought more if they took credit or debit.
Big. Lots of regional books...lots of books period! On the higher side, price wise, but not unreasonable. Friendly staff. Worth the visit if you're a used book person.
Super quirky, cat-filled and extremely fascinating. Be prepared for cats, clutter and endless browsing... not to mention getting side-tracked reading all the little notes on the walls.
When taking books in for consignment you get 16.50 in store credit or $4.10 in cash for 10 books. So think about that if your trying to make a little cash for food or medicine it won't be fair, but if you want to read books then good deal.
I love this book store, there is so much selection. I wish it wasn't closing! The store owner helped me find the book i was looking for in a matter of seconds!
