Visconti's No Frills

This store used to be owned by another couple, Mike and his wife, then the franchise was sold to Peter and his wife Suzie. Unfortunately Peter has zero personality, his customer service skills are non existent, he treats his staff horribly and many employees resigned and moved to other grocery stores or No Frills locations because of him. His produce and fresh products are always not up to par with other locations, most often he doesn't have flyer specials in stock and it's a wonder how this store continues to turn a profit.

Smaller No Frills conveniently located off Hwy 7. Product selection isn't as vast as the larger locations but you can generally find the staples. It doesn't have a pharmacy - there's a Shoppers Drug Mart in same plaza. I've noticed lots of seniors seem to visit this location.nCurrent as of Jan 2026 - they price match with Loblaws, Longos, and Walmart. Could change in future they used to price match with more stores.

The produce here is generally terrible. When I moved to the area 7 years ago my wife and I were impressed that the quality of produce seemed better than the local Loblaws. Now it seems like this is where they get rid of Loblaws produce when it is starting to go bad. Seriously - I go here almost everyday because it is close but half of all veg or fruit items on my list I don't end up buying because the condition is so bad. Often times I will see rotten items on the shelves. And $5+ per lb for bruised and wrinkled red peppers? That is most of the time. Staff is nice.

Smaller No Frills compared to the others in Markham, as it is a store within a plaza. They still seem to have all the products here that you would expect from No Frills. Friendly staff, easy to find parking spot, and shopping carts work well here. Conveniently located along Highway 7. Use PC Optimum points.

Although this is a smaller location, it has become our go-to store. Everything is consistently well-stocked, clean, and organized. Even though we do not work at No Frills, we have noticed that the franchise owners, Peter and Suzi, hire excellent employees, especially young people who are polite, hardworking, and professional. It is truly encouraging to see so many teenagers gaining valuable experience in the workforce.nnI would especially like to thank Saamanthy. She is the sweetest and consistently demonstrates outstanding leadership, professionalism, and customer service. Every visit is made better by her friendly and positive attitude. She is an asset to the store and truly stands out.nnAlthough we live in Markham and there are a few No Frills locations closer to us, we are always willing to drive an extra five minutes just to come to this one. It is worth it every time. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great shopping experience.
