Visconti's No Frills

Smaller No Frills compared to the others in Markham, as it is a store within a plaza. They still seem to have all the products here that you would expect from No Frills. Friendly staff, easy to find parking spot, and shopping carts work well here. Conveniently located along Highway 7. Use PC Optimum points.

The quality of food is reasonably good, ensuring that the items you purchase meet your expectations.nnThe staff here are friendly and helpful, making the shopping experience more enjoyable. I have been faithfully purchasing my groceries at this location for years. Recently, my teenage son asked for my help in landing a part time job. I approached Peter months ago about hiring my teenage son so that he could begin earning money towards university. I was told to check back in September, after the post secondary students go back to college/university. I did just that. Got another excuse specifying that my son should submit an updated application. My son did that. Never heard a word from Peter. Recently I saw new faces at this store. Apparently Peter hired new people without even giving my son a chance new employees were all Caucasian. How are young people going to get experience unless an employer gives them their first job!?? Clearly Peter forgot what it was like to start out in the workforce as a teen looking for someone to give him a chance. I will no longer shop there.

I would like to share a disappointing interaction I had today with a manager named “Peter” at this No Frills location; if he is also the owner / franchisee of this store location too, then I would recommend you to talk to your customers in a more respectful manner. I went to a few No Frills stores looking for a specific seaweed from the flyer which was out of stock everywhere so I decided to try my luck at your store. I asked an associate and he didn’t know if they had any and he found the manager named Peter whom pointed me to a different brand / small packages which is not what I was looking for. I then went back to Peter to ask if he had the specific seaweed box that’s on this week’s flyer shown on my phone and instead of answering a simple “no” which would suffice, he in a snarky manner replied “you had already asked my staff to ask me whether we had it, and I had already told him that we don’t have it”. Number 1, I never asked him to ask anyone else and I don’t know what he asked you and what your response was; number 2, you pointed to a different brand/package of seaweed that I was not looking for; number 3, I’m a customer simply looking for something on the flyer and am not here to take your rude and convoluted responses that does not address the question at hand. I truly hope you find your passion again when you first signed up as a franchisee as it’s your customers that are giving you their money and supporting your local business. I echo the other reviews, the store associates are friendly and not so much the management.

Best no frills ever. I like its small footprint. Its not one of those huge lifeless grocery stores. Excellent inventory, especially love the selection of bread and cheeses. THANK YOU for stocking prosciutto cotto. Amazing prices. My go-to grocery store for a stress free experience
