Veterans Memorial Park

it's a bare bones park. Not many people. Good area for soccer, frisbee, jogging, etc. Great open space for drones except the sign says no drones. I've rarely seen anyone there that would care if you decided to fly. There is a Pokémon Go gym and poké stop. Lots of blackberries top pick during mid to late summer. Quiet park.

No light on the American Flag while it is flying at night. Against the law & highly offensive to the Veterans who fought for ALL of our freedoms. Shame on you Port Orchard.

I give this park 2 stars for a very legal & just blatantly no respect for our nation U.S.A. & it's flag. They moved the flag from one location in the park to nearer the entrance place where the military gun's are not stationery. Problem is there is no Light on the flag at night & that is against the law. Plus put a light at the base of this flag or take down the flag (& properly store it nightly) tell the City of Port Orchard puts the light on it!!!! Thank you
