Verve Hair Design Salon & Spa

Ive recently started going to this hair salon and all I can say is that I am always taken good care of. Yen and her assistant Muji always make sure I leave the salon looking and feeling like a new woman. They always meet my needs in terms of what style/colour/cut I want for my hair and suggest good ideas for what would look best on me. They are always smiling and make me feel at home as I always have the best conversations with them! I would recommend Verve to everyone! Their services are outstanding! Yen and her assistant are always smiling and both have equally amazing personalities. The moment I enter the salon, its like I step into a world of luxury from the ambiance to the outstanding services. I get beautiful colour results each time and a relaxing scalp massage to go with it! Most importantly, I’m most impressed that they always pay attention to their customers’ wants and needs. Never once have they cut my hair shorter than I ask for. If I want 2 inches trimmed, they will cut 2 inches (other salons seem to think 2 inches is equivalent to 4 inches)

Although I've never been here, I'm sure this salon does an amazing job, seeing the reviews. I called by phone for details and although the lady seemed nice and informative initially, I found her quite rude and impatient when I began asking about rates and whether it's possible to come in twice for a color transition from a medium to lighter shade (as that was recommended by my previous salon near home, so I vocalized that). She said that I was not confident and that my suggestion was a waste of time and money, and went on with a cluster of words I did not hear as we were both simultaneously trying to make a point. Perhaps she was feeling stressed or there was a misunderstanding. Perhaps I was asking too much but for someone who rarely colors or cuts her hair - and for a business owner like herself, I believe that's unacceptable and simply unprofessional. Isn't your job to serve and accommodate customers regardless of how well your business is going? Surely, you could have responded with more professionalism and respect. I honestly would only give you 1 star, but I give you 2 because I believe in fairness and grace.

First time going here and I will not be going anywhere else! Yen and Muji did an amazing job matching my hair to the picture I provided. Very honest staff and the atmosphere is peaceful, personal and professional. With the way most salons treat you as a dollar sign, Yen and Muji will treat you with the utmost respect. Thank you both!! Great perm, no nasty smell at all. Lots of care put into the work they do and you can tell they use quality materials. Excellent service provided, even after hours!
