Vasquez Hacienda Inc

We went to Pearls in Elk Lake (amazing) and their wait was 50 minutes, so we went here as we were very hungry and it was on the way to town. Red Mesa is the best Mexican restaurant in TC, but it was likely packed at this time (around 6 pm). Our first clues should have been that it was nearly empty, and the LOUD conversations from the locals at their bar consumed the whole restaurant. Nothing at all against locals as Peegeos (very good food) was packed and full of locals that I enjoyed speaking with. This food costs nearly twice what it should, but our server was polite. It's for sale with seemingly few dining options within 10 minutes, so maybe a new owner can re-brand and grow as it has good size and seems like a solid location. Possibly an ideal opportunity for an entrepreneur restauranteur.

This place had many problems this past year (see the numerous negative reviews below). A recent staff revamp has improved things greatly, and it now appears to be back on track! Place is booming tonight with locals from Milton, Elk Rapids and Acme Townships!

Everything was bad here. The service was terrible, a lack of workers, it took us 45 minutes to sit when the said 20 minutes. The food was completely tasteless, and it was fairly expensive too. I wouldn't recommend this restraunt to anyone and I am never going back.

Dreadful, tasteless. Awful. First, they said we'd be seated in 20 minutes. It took 45 minutes. Then they didn't even bring our water for 25 minutes. Then another hour plus to take our order and bring us our food. When the food came, it was AWFUL. They put the wrong meet in our food. The beans tasted like nothing and the rice was bad too. Fairly expensive too. Bad serivce bad food terrible experience. Never go here. Even Gordon Ramsay couldn't fix this trash

Best Mexican food in area. Great up north place to relax.
