Dockside Torch Lake

I have been going to the Dockside Bar & Grill since I was a baby and my parents brought us here as tourists over 30 years ago. Now, I live here and the Dockside is still a locals Institution and a Tourist Must-Do. Excellent food, atmosphere, and eating out on the deck in the summer watching boats come in off Torch Lake is not to be missed. The location on Torch is second-to-none. Have a nice meal, a cold beverage and then step out for a walk down the dock to bask in the splendor that is Torch and the beauty of Northern Michigan.

Perfect place to enjoy the day by Boat or Car. Great food and a view. Friendly service inside or on the deck. You won't finish the NACHOS SUPREME !!!!!

This place is a summer tradition for us. This is only because of the location on beautiful Torch Lake. It is always packed during sunset hours which is understandable. But it always is disappointing for many other reasons. Their bathrooms are awful. They don't have a soda fountain and charge for refills on canned soda. They nickel and dime you with their menu (like toppings for burgers). Their food in general is consistent but never super exciting. The staff friendliness is hit or miss. Their beer is cheap. It is clearly a place focused around promoting heavy drinking instead of a family place.

Way over priced. Service was slow and bad. Had the Friday fish fry. Supposed to be all u can eat. Server never came back to give us more. Went twice same thing both times. Quaint lil place in Alden is the place to go

The pizza "breadstick" appetizer is EXTREMELY fried. A pizza "egg roll" would be a better description. View, drinks, and most of the other food is good.
