Vancity Theatre

Good movies theater. It's also very comfortable even before the show starts; it makes me wonder why aren't more theater like this.

Beautiful theatre. Seen some great movies here, and have felt very safe during covid.

Staff are mostly friendly and helpful.

Spark Animation Festival, Serbian and Turkish film festivals, VIFF, and lots of other activities happening throughout the year. There's popcorn and beer at the concession stand, however you can't go into the auditorium with alcohol. There's a balcony on the second floor. Third floor is for staff only. Wheelchair accessible washrooms.

Great old new theatre. Big plush velvety seats, a balcony... A bar. They also have popcorn. What more could you want?

A regular patron of Vancity Theatre, I have nothing but positive things to say. They provide a wonderful atmosphere, the seats are great no matter where you sit, and volunteers and staff are mostly friendly and helpful. The films shown are to my liking and a refreshing alternative to what mainstream theatres are offering.

We go there regularly and always have a good experience. You can see films that are not widely released and differ from the typical Hollywood formula. Wine and beer are available as well as baked goods and the usual movie theatre treats.

Fantastic independent theatre. Volunteer run. They have a great selection of films that you can't seen in other theatres. Their popcorn is actually some of the best in the city! The chairs are wide and very comfortable. I check to see what they're showing often.
