Nice Cineplex branch and maybe the only one in lower mainland offer screenX. Unfortunately recliner DBox is not offered at this location. All facilities are in good condition. Paid parking available on street and also underground. Atmosphere is fun, young and good experience in general. Staff are friendly and supportive. Watched TopGun on screenX and it was nice. If could not purchase ticket on higher levels and back of the theatre, I would suggest not to bother to try ScreenX and try DBox or Regular instead.
This is a top notch theater to come and enjoy the latest blockbusters. There is multiple levels, lots of food options food, not just snacks and drinks and the screen sizes are all very large, with high quality image and sound. Always enjoy my time spent at this theater, and is easily accessible by the Expo Line.
Traffic and parking is the downside. They are the only Cineplex that offers ScreenX in Vancouver and North shore to my knowledge. In our last visit I realized they don’t have recliner option for DBox which is unfortunate.
I have had the opportunity to visit this cinema on more than 30 occasions, I have never had bad service, they have always been very friendly, the only comment I have is that the toilets have sometimes not been clean or ready to use. it's understandable that it's a lot of people coming in and out, but it's always appreciated to have a clean place to sit and relax after a movie xD Other than that it is a very comfortable place to go with friends.
Some staff go above and beyond like Maria L. She’s been there a while now always see her. She’s very friendly and helpful to the guest & I have seen her do her job first hand very well 10/10 for her Location wise it’s Great. Suggestions: up the food and auditorium
A well-built entertainment facility by Cineplex in the heart of down town Vancouver. An underground paid parking is available also. It holds 9 Screens, 2 DBOX Screens, 2 UltraAVX Screens, 6 3D Screens, & ScreenX all in 2 floors. You cab buy tickets online and you’ll have some membership perks. You have access to snacks and drinks. But, if price matters to you, the stuff is not cheap inside. Almost all the blockbuster movies are shown here. The seats are comfortable with good armrests. You’ll choose your seats online and no confusion is there. Price: D-BOX DBOX AVX General 14-64- $24.75 DBOX AVX Senior 65+- $21 DBOX AVX Child 3-13- 20.25 Standard ScreenX General 14-64- $19.05 ScreenX SR 65+- $15.30 ScreenX Child 3-13- $14.55 General 14-64 AVX- $17.1 Senior 65+ AVX- $13.35 Child 3-13 AVX- 12.60 Regular General Admit- $14.25 Senior 65+- $10.5 Child 3-13- $9.75 Reading Tickets might be confusing. I uploaded a ticket with red & green circles helping how to find your saloon and chair numbers. In general, you’ll enjoy the atmosphere and its a good experience!
Has the pandemic eases, it's nice to get out once again to watch movies on the big screen. I don't see how families can afford to go out to the movies these days. A large pop was $9 in a large popcorn was about the same.
I've been here a few times over the years and have always enjoyed seeing films here. There's lots of space to wait and meet up for friends. I thought the red stair case was a nice touch. It's part of the red carpet experience. Last time I was there, the lazy teenager scanning the tickets wasn't very helpful. They had just mumbled something like a "urrr" without indicating where I was supposed to go. It wasn't very clear where I was supposed to go - it's a big theatre. Here's the problem, it's an easy job, just take the ticket and say "You're in theatre # top floor, enjoy the movie" and that's it. This job is easily replaceable by a machine - I'll just scan the ticket myself, and a robot could say "yadadada enjoy the movie!" open the gates and I'll have left with a better experience than what I did. It's an easy job, sure it pays minimum wage, but at least it comes with all the free tickets and chemical-ooze popcorn anyone could bare to stomach. I can't help but feel that the employers are making this a little more difficult place to work than it needs to be. An usher came through the theatre several times throughout the film. Do they really need to do that? What are they doing? Stopping someone from bootlegging a film that was already bootlegged in Malaysia weeks ago on opening night? Breaking up couples from making out? Whatever it did, it was a little distracting. Just let the kids just chill rather than making busy work for them.
Great place and people. Always treated nicely. The floors could be less sticky but I guess that’s most of movie theaters
The theater is in a great location. It has always been clean and staff are nice. The seating in some of the theaters could use a bit of an upgrade though. Scotia Theater always has the newest movies as well
