A really good noodle soup place - lots of variety whether it is the noodle types, vegetables, meats or soup base. You pay according to the weight of your selected ingredients and extra for soup base. Fast service and it’s a clean and cozy dine-in space.
First time trying malatang and I was really good!! I love how you can choose your own ingredients to put in your noodle soup, the veggies were very fresh and the serving area was kept clean. The soup itself was delicious, a simple broth that compliments the veggies and meat well! Just beware to not go overboard with the self serve area...I got a bit too excited and my noodle soup was $30 LOL but I got a huge bowl so it was worth it . Definately coming back again
Generally okay place. It feels like comfort food to me. If you like choosing your toppings, and making DIY noodle bowls, this would be your place for Mala, schezuan and Curry flavoured soups. The price is per kilogram of the ingredients you pick out in a silver bowl not sure if the weight of the silver bowl is taken to account already - maybe its used as a base price. Overall, I would recommend it for the experience. Vegetarian options: Peanut-friendly
The word Express on their name is a bit miss leading. It is not fast during lunch or dinner time but is not bad. It is a great concept that you pick your own food you like and the portion you prefer. It is a bit messy at the food selection station as food can drop into other container as people pick their own. Is also nice that you can choose your own spicy and num level. Water is not provided here but they are selling it at a reasonable price. Not much service here as they just cook the food in your bowl and give it to you. Is a bit pricy as the price you pay here you can get bigger portion at other noodles house
i’m a big fan of the szechuan sauce mixed option, i get medium spice and extra numbing with beef. been coming here for a while now when the craving comes and the food always hits the spot.Recommended dishesRed Sausage , Mala Soup Szechuan Sauce Mixed, Thick Vermicelli
Like actually I uber eats from this place and forgot to add drinks and there’s no add more items options from uber so it tells me to call the merchant??? Like bro so i cancelled and charged me the whole order? Takes one minutes for me to cancel right after I order??? Merchant said was alr preparing my order so charge me everything??? Bro I bet u didn’t even heat the pan yet.
Good quality malatang self chosen ingredients gets cooked and served with or without a soup base. A bit on the pricier side rate per kg but this concept of by weight is a niche market. I got the medium non-numb spicy option and it was moderately spicy as expected. I would recommend people give it a try and see what they think of it themselves. Try all the different vegetables they have available! Lots of spicy and numb spicy levels. The place was well kept and decorated with natural wood colors. Nice staff.
Ordered take out, Totally not worth $18, extremely cheap on all the expensive items, noodles were undercooked… will never come back waste of money!
No free water provided with meal. The way that the server looked at me make me feel embarrassed when I ask for waterFood: 1/5
That was the grossest food I've had in Markham. I paid $24 for a delivery of their classic soup and it came smelling like dirty socks. The soup smells as though it's been curing in a dirty pot for days. There was practically no noodles in it and they put in ramen instead of the potatoe noodles I asked for. The other things that made up the stew was one sad tomato, a bunch of gross canned meats. Overall Stinky and barely edible.
