Visited their Angel Cafe which was upstairs in 2018 and also bought from the take-out section downstairs a few times. The cheesecake was always delicious. Their service and staff are great. Intriguing decor in the Angel Cafe. I find that leaving the cheesecake in the refrigerator and having it the next day, it tastes even better. Prices are reasonable. Would definitely revisit.
This is a unique cafe and definitely the first of its kind in Canada! Service was very sweet and everyone was very welcoming. There isn’t too much selection for food but what they do well on is the cheesecake. I highly recommend visiting this cafe if you’re a tourist in Toronto!
I love Japanese baking, the attention to detail and quirky elegance is so appealing, This outlet had a lovely quaint hole in the wall service system so you can order and pick up as you walk by, without having to actually go into the place - really convenient! I ordered the regular cheesecake and matcha flavoured dome cake and they both super light and fluffy like eating a sweet cloud! The dome cake is slightly denser in consistency with a real matcha tea taste so don't buy unless you know you love matcha tea or want to experiment. High-quality baking that I could not fault. The packaging is cartoonish and fun - not the upscale elegance of Nadege, but the Japanese love their anime and cartoon culture is featured in Yamanote as well so its to be expected. When I'm in Toronto I'll always try to stop by again and highly recommend going to the outlet as the road leads to the Chinese area anyway, so it's a great touring experience.
Love the atmosphere. The servers are great even though they are not so fluent in English, it just makes it more strong Japanese style maid cafe. Food was good, only the green tea is not the greatest.
It was my first time in this cafe and really love it! The japanese cheesecake was very soft and delicious, the cream melon soda too, and also the matcha tea. The waitress was very nice and smile all the time! I will come again, of course and taste another desserts !!
The staff was friendly. Their desserts were delicious. The matcha drink was alright. Each person must spend $10 to dine in. I was disappointed that I didn't get a chance to see their dancing/singing performance.
One of the best Japanese cheesecakes I’ve ever had! It’s actually dangerous because the texture of the cake is so light and fluffy, you feel like you’re not even eating that much. My personal favourite is the matcha variant which is available only on Monday and Thursday, it’s so much better than the original. Go early before they sell out!
Japanese cheesecake is to die for! The Angel Hat cakes are also melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This is not your traditional cheesecake. It's super light and fluffy, not overly sweet at all, and it's so easy to eat half a cake or even a whole one if you're not counting calories! when served warm. There is no graham cracker crust bottom and it doesn't taste anything like cheese, more like butter and vanilla. Logos featuring Uncle Tetsu are stamped right onto the top of the cake we were there before July 1 so it said Happy Canada Day, and at Christmas there was an Uncle Tetsu Santa and the cakes are carefully packaged and presented in a nice sturdy gift bag. This is a MUST try food dessert lovers!
Really great cheesecake, quite different from the typical cheesecakes you find everywhere else in Toronto. Cute and fun atmosphere. Also here you don't have to wait in a long line up like at the bay location.
Angel hat very filling. Mango soda not too sweet, very nice. These waitresses were very nice and hospitable. Given the chance I would like to come back and try the omurice!
