Uncle John's Barbecue

These are the worst rib tips I have ever tried. I could not eat them the fat meat, veins and goodness knows what. I could not eat them. Threw them in the garbage. No slaw, and the potatoes were half cooked. If you want some good rib tips try anyplace but here. The meat is cheap, no taste.. 10.00 for a small tip. Robbery!

Man that was a disappointment, they didn't have what I wanted then I settled for what the woman recommended which was rib tips. I didn't know they come with bones hence why they're called "tips" says it comes with corn bread, fries and slaw. Got one slice of white bread from a dollar loaf and no slaw, finall found the 5 french fries under the food soggy and wet. Literally one mouthful of edible food.

I'd gone by Uncle John's to pick up some rib tips for the holiday on Nov. 23, 2022 for Thanksgiving. I guess they just hire anyone to cut meat. There were some ladies there working who obviously could care less about their job or the customers. I've only been there twice before and they were decent. I picked up my order and got home the rib tips looked like beef stew meat!! Really? That is not what I wanted. Clearly someone has dropped the ball!! I paid $25.00 and some change for a jumbo rib tip and didn't even get any cold slaw!! It was God Awful!! I will never darken there door ever again. I have no money to give away. And whomever cut those rib tips should be terminated immediately!! Baby Bye never again!!

I've always had great food from Uncle John's....that is until Sunday. I've never seen that cook the times I've gone before. Maybe it was a new cook; or the grill hadn't been cleaned, idk but the jerk ribs tasted like fluid and was just inedible. So I rode a nice way to return and get the regular rib tips. Similar taste, as if he'd gotten fluid on it and there was another peculiar taste to them. So I can honestly say, I've never had that experience before and if I drive that far again, I hope to have the ribs we all loved. Maybe just a bad day...oh, I failed to mention the staff had great customer service and definitely tried to make it right.

Great local BBQ spot. The food is CONSISTENTLY good. They are pretty fast, the customer service is good and their sauce is delicious. Their turkey tips are phenomenal. I usually get the mild sauce on the food, but sometime I get it on the side costs a little extra just to taste the meat. It has a great smokey flavor so its enjoyable with or without sauce. All orders come with fries. Definitely worth a visit.

This places got the best ribs and hot links I’ve ever had omg listen y’all need to work on those tips but the ribs and links y’all can’t go wrong when I tell You them ribs are so tender you can eat em off the bone. This my second time trying uncle Johns and my family loved it as well. Btw they sauce is even good y’all check them out and support a black business!!

It was ok. The ribs were extremely huge and showed some pink inside. They were out of coleslaw at 7pm. The cashier couldn't tell me how many fries or equivalent to feed a family of 4 per slab so I had to order extra fries that I eventually threw out because I had to many.Food: 3/5

I’ve been coming here for years and the tip/wing combo have ALWAYS been on point. Idk what’s going on but the last 2 times I got the combo it’s been horrible. Today put the icing on the cake. The tips were over cooked the chicken you could taste the old grease and it was absolutely a drizzle of sauce and I MEAN A DRIZZLE!! I didn’t get any bread or coleslaw. I’m very disappointed! Money wasted

The worst bbq on the south side. The tips are tough burnt and not fresh. It seems like it was from yesterday. Chicken is horrible and they soak the fries in sauce. This place is the worst and I don’t recommend no one to come here it’s totally not worth it.
