Visited during Omicron, so we had to show vaccination cards just to get in. Smaller place, but not cramped. Simple menu and everything comes a la carte. What we ordered had decent flavor and the food was cooked properly. For the price, I was not impressed with the quantity of food and I didn't think the taste made up for the lack of meat. Our waitress was nice and the place was clean, so overall, it wasn't a bad experience but there was nothing that really makes me want to go back again soon.
Aesthetic BBQ joint with solid portions! I ordered a brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, and hush puppies. Pleasantly surprised with the whole experience, would recommend for casual BBQ eats
Pulled pork sandwich, corn pudding, Mac n cheese. The sandwich was good, could do without the Mac and cheese, and really enjoyed the corn pudding. The portions are large, not sure if it’s worth the price though. $25 just for a sandwich and side? Ouch!
Great waitstaff! I’ve only had the brisket sandwich and Mac n Cheese, but I can’t wait to try more. Down the street on Monday’s you’ll see me preform open mic comedy at Taylor street tap. Get some bbq then head on over. Follow my socials @JokesOnAnthony
Delicious, tasty BBQ cooked to perfection! Tender, meaty and juicy. The food is REAL SMOKED/PIT BARBECUED. You can taste the smokiness, and the Links are juicy and the right amount of spicy! Highly recommend, didn't get a chance to try the Chicken, or Bread Pudding they were already out of it, and that was during my lunchtime around 12:45pm. First time trying and definitely won't be the last time visiting again!
Excellent service and some of the best BBQ I've had in Chicago. We split the brisket, a hot link, biscuits, hush puppies, and baked beans. Definitely ask for the mustard sauce.
We stopped in for lunch and had a great experience. Me and the boys over indulged in some bbq brisket, chicken and pork. Order a little of everything and let the flavors go to work! Fun vibe, friendly staff and the food came out fast. Prices were reasonable for downtown Chicago and cocktails were tasty.
We got the smoked meat sampler with ribs very good, pulled pork good, chopped chicken good, and brisket okay. We also got three sides of biscuits good, baked beans okay, Mac and cheese okay. So, I'd go back to get their ribs and biscuits. The service was great and we sat on their back patio. We went on a very hot day and the inside did not seem to have air conditioning so being inside would have been uncomfortable.
Great prices beers are $5, ordered half pound brisket. Very tender, nice crust. ***Interior Dining Review*** Wonderful waitress. The Bar has a GAS SMELL inside. It's overpowering. I'm not sure if it's from the pit or what, but it permeates and overwhelms the dining experience. Hope servers and employees are taken care of!
I just ran into a BRICK WALL ! Horrible food disappointed this was a main stay back in the day ! Would really like my money back food was over smoked tasted like the store smelled! I was HAD! Mac n cheese definitely not a scratch dish, greens saltier than pink salt. The meat was over smoked and dry ! I spent a pretty penny here only to be embarrassed that open led my mouth ! Definitely not old owners to expensive for what I got I spent close $100 if not more ! Do not go !
