About

We are a locally owned restaurant with a dedicated gluten free kitchen since me, the owner, has Celiac Disease. :) Enjoy our small plate and Hot Rock!

Story

Twigs Tavern & Grille is located inside the Centerstone Plaza Hotel. Michelle and her husband Myron own Rochester, Minnesota’s premier gluten-free dining experiences. While Twigs also offers a regular menu, their extensive gluten-free menu is extra special because all items are prepared by a specially trained staff in an entirely separate kitchen area with dedicated equipment that greatly reduces any chance of cross contamination. Rochester's only restaurant with a Dedicated Gluten-Free Kitchen.

Specializing in small plates and Hot Rock grilling as well as an award winning patio with a stream meandering through it.

The decor is warm and contemporary and our staff is lovely.

Great place to eat if you are gluten free! Staff is trained in handling food for people with gluten issues. They take incredible steps to make sure there is no cross-contamination. Very pleased with my meal and the service. They did not act put out about any special requests. Highly recommend.

A little on the spender side, but SO SO worth it! This is my favorite restaurant. I'm not gluten free, but I think it's wonderful that they have a separate gluten free kitchen and an big delicious gluten free menu. The service is world class, the ambiance is just gorgeous, and the food is so good it should be sold by drug dealers instead of in a restaurant. Also, this place has the best margaritas and martinis in town! Pictures below are the to die for baked feta appetizer and the best fish tacos this side of Mexico.

Ordered to go from the gluten free menu in the attached hotel. When I got over there to pick it up, I was told they didn't have that item gluten free, but the other sandwiches on the order were ready. I asked if I could order something else, he reluctantly gave me a gluten free menu then disappeared. After some time later, he shows back up with a bag of the other two sandwiches. I asked if they could keep them warm while I ordered the other one to replace the gf sandwich they didn't make. Shrugged and said maybe they could microwave it. I left without ordering another sandwich because they didn't deserve any more of my time or money. Stunk not having lunch though. Thanks jerks.

Separate gluten free kitchen! They have a great gluten free menu and the gluten free bread they have is so good whether its the bread or the buns. The pickle sauce they make is so good, it reminds me of the sauce on the big mac at McDonald's except a 1000 times better, healthier and gluten free! Biting into the 🍔 is so tasty. I can actually eat the 🍟 since they have a separate kitchen, most places fry fries in same oil as onion rings and everything else that has gluten in it. And the hot rock option is very good too.

Great food at reasonable prices, they actually care about Gluten free requests. Try their carrot cake-yummy. It's gluten free and wonderful.
