Have been to their sister location in St. Louis Park, I was sad they don't have the Thai Chicken Wrap, but enjoyed my salad and soup. My fiance had their Green Chili Chicken it was SUPER tasty! Mmmm drooling, thinking about it. Son had the Mac/Cheese Pizza, that was really good too. Great ambiance, friendly staff, was great to sit on the patio.

The recently added Korean tuna bowl was very good...filling without being "heavy." Interesting and tasty take in the Old Fashioned. Staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Great vibe and atmosphere.

Rocket Restaurant Group owns both the Loop and Five West in Rochester. Based on the reviews — and loving their Five West location — I was really anticipating a great experience at the Loop. Sadly this was not the case when my wife and I visited for lunch this last week.
The restaurant was not busy when we arrived, nor was it ever busy throughout our meal (over half of the tables were empty). We were really surprised by the lack of courteous service or attendance to simple things like a polite greeting when we walked in the restaurant, or keeping our water glasses filled — even a smile from the hostess would have gone a long way in making us feel welcome. We were surprised that she never smiled throughout our entire visit.
The food was not as good as we consistently receive at Five West. We normally order a split plate of one of their gluten-free salads and it's more than enough to eat together. We decided to get our favorite dish from Five West that was also on the menu here at the Loop. While the quantity of food we received was good, the preparation of the meat in the salad was inferior to what we are familiar with. It was too chewy, over seasoned, and poor quality flank steak. The potatoes were delicious but the balsamic vinaigrette was over dressed.
We were also surprised at the time it took for the server to arrive to take our drink order (20 minutes!). And after we were finished we had to ask for our check — even after the two tables who where seated after us had already paid and left (they finished their meals after us).
We were very disappointed by the experience and will probably not return to the Loop. IMHO Five West is a much better and consistent experience.

Fresh garlic fries, amazing quinoa burger bites with a bed of salad and sweet nuts. Perfect portions to share.
