The Truro Veterinary Hospital strives to develop, nurture, support and strengthen the special bond that exists between pets and their people. To achieve this, we emphasize pet care education and provide the best medicine possible in a caring and comforting environment.

"Truro Vet Hospital is a full service hospital providing your pet with preventive health care, elective and emergency surgery, in-house diagnostics, digital radiography including dental and canine training classes. Our passionate team specializes in client education concerning such topics as vaccination, parasite prevention, nutrition, dental care and wellness screening.We use a team-based approach to caring for you and your pet. We recognize and utilize the strengths of each individual member of our Care Team to provide comfort and care during your visit. We focus on reducing your pet's stress during their visit by using low stress handling techniques. Our goal is to make the vet visit enjoyable for pets and their people!"

Oh my gosh. This was one one of the best vet experiences I've ever had--and by far the best I've had in Nova Scotia and we've visited 4 vets and had calls with many more. I will drive hours to continue to go there for my pets' needs. They take care of the problem, don't try to sell me stuff my pet doesn't need but have everything my pet may want! Loved the down to earth, sincere, kind and extremely knowledge vet!! Thank you!

We were so grateful to the wonderful team at Truro Veterinary hospital for their incredible and compassionate care for our beloved pet at the end of her life. The staff at this clinic were all wonderful. Very helpful, professional, informative and caring. Our little barn cats experience was worth the drive from New Glasgow.

After a long trek across the country, and the stress of finding an available vet, I came across Dr. Emily. Dr. Emily and the rest of the staff I have encountered have all been super sweet and informative. After taking my cat for a single appointment for Urinary issues, there were several calls from the clinic to ask for an update on how she is doing. That's the kind of thing we owners want to see. I couldn't be happier with my experiences so far.

Look after our animals and prices are fair,! Dr Mckay spayed several of our cats and her skill is second to none. The incision was virtually invisible and the cats suffered no irritation whatsoever. 5 stars for this vets and their staff !

Had an emergency...first time meeting staff...very helpful...emergency handled!!!

We're new to the area and just recently started visiting the Truro Veterinarian Hospital staff there are exceptionally friendly and are two experiences with the doctors were fantastic.

Other than my old veterinarian, before I moved, they are fantastic! Dr. Melissa @ Truro vet I highly recommend Dr. Dawn in Pictou county.

It is a good experience to take your to the Arthur Street vet they are very friendly to greet you when you come in the door

I can't say enough great wonderful things about these heart filled support staff that made my wife and my day less stressful.  We were having a real hard time trying to say goodbye to my friend of 19 years .  My cat of so many years had some health issues and we were not sure what and how we would elleviate his pain and discomfort. With the way things are going in the world and all the pain and hurt there are still some really great people out there trying too help. The staff took my wife and I through the process of saying goodbye to our loved one and explained every step and gave us lots of time to process each step along the way. Even after saying our goodbyes to our buddy and friend  they were still very compassionate by letting us have all the time we needed to say " until we meet again", we love you ashes and won't forget you.  Thanks to all the staff for being compassionate and understanding and allowing us to say our goodbyes with dignity and respect.
