Trumbull Kitchen

Living off its reputation a bit. Food was okay, slightly, hipster Asian. We had the lettuce wraps with shrimp, a little oily but tasty. The fondue was odd, and the crackling pork was dry. My Old Fashion didn’t have a big ice cube, drink was okay. The host was warm, but the waitress was efficient and on autopilot. Parking is easy. Hartford is deserted

Hadn't been here in over 12 years and had to chill somewhere sleek when I returned to Hartford. It was awesome and unchanged. Had the sweet potato and minced shrimp fritters and a glass of wine and of course truffle fries, I left feeling relaxed and like my smooth cool self again. Server was great too.

Mid day business lunch. Our server was great and I went with her recommended strip steak which was fantastic. Sushi rolls were great and the price was reasonable for the quality of the food and the great service. Highly recommended.

I eat seafood but no meat. The menu is very meat-heavy. Not a ton of options for me. I used to come here more often years ago but the menu is not as appealing as it used to be. The sweet potato rock shrimp fritters were tasty and the sauce it came with was phenomenal. I just wish there more veggie and seafood options.

This was our third time at Trumbull Kitchen and we have been consistent pleased. The wait staff are consistently excellent and the entrees have been very good. Their New Fashioned whiskey-based cocktail is excellent and the entrees in general are very interesting. Our only compliant was tonight in that my wife's salmon entree was downright cold and the surrounding accompaniments were hot. Kind of wierd and uncoordinated on the part of the kitchen, right? However, this had been the exception for us at the Trumbull Kitchen. The server (very nice....Haley) sent it back to the kitchen and it was fine after that, but, what a hassle. Despite today's minor kerfuffle, we would still return. Nice, hip vibe!
