My family & I will never stay here again & I've been coming here since I was a child. We just got back from a two night stay with our kids over March break. Elevators were not working, water slide was no longer running, hot tub & outdoor heated pool was boarded up. The pool they had was very dirty with something all over the bottom of the pool. Our room was very outdated & the furniture was all scuffed up. Looked like it has been there since I was a kid in the 80's. Hallways were very cold but our room was extremely hot even though we had the heat off. Wallpaper was peeling off & in order for us to use the coffee maker we had to pullout the fridge to get to the power cord. To top it all off my husbands work camera was stolen out of our van (we were sure we locked our van) and they did nothing about it & didn't seem to care Their manger was in a meeting but when we came back to find out what the process was, we were just given a business card to call someone. There were other parents who came for the water slide & heated outdoor pool & where very disappointed. We were going to go to the Ambassador Hotel but for the same price we chose the Travelodge because it was closer to home & what we thought had the same amount of playthings for the kids. I gave it a one star because the beds were comfortable. This place is nowhere what it used to be. The front lobby looks nice but that's about it. Very upset & diappointed.

Booked a room in a huge group over 50 rooms booked and the best deal they would give was $149.99 a night, online they showed rooms for $105.00, when you called and mentioned our group rate they tried to give you the 149.99 rooms. They spread our club out across the entire hotel. Every room I went into hand a 2 panel switch (visited close to 10 rooms) at the door with only 1 switch that actually did something. The bathroom fan in all rooms i visited was not hooked up or in my opinion was put in for "show" imagine taking a hot shower in a tiny bathroom and getting out into a giant fog of steam. Our shower still had hairs in it from past guest. Operating the shower was another story you had to turn the handle several times just to get it to turn on and finding a happy medium for heat was not easy. CN rail workers are frequent quest at the hotel and will call and complain at the slightest of noise, many other guest were very rude to us. The free breakfast was not worth it. The meats were greasy the hash browns were dry and the eggs were juicy. The hotel knew we had close to 170 people in just our group staying there and were very unprepared for us. I never review anything like this I usually leave it at a star rating but in this case I had to give my full reasoning.

When visiting Travelodge Hotel for the Reptile Zoo exhibit I had an amazing experience. The handlers and the presenters there were informative and friendly and I would visit again in the future.

Without doubt one of the favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Bellville! The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. We had two great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience. Note, this is not a 4/5-star hotel or so, but the atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the Management who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!

The atmosphere was very welcoming and the event was great! This is somewhere I would recommend to friends and family for any occasion!
