I will never stay at this hotel again. I was happy with the price but not happy with the staff, rooms were nice, clean but they have serious issues in the bathroom. They have showers without tubs, just glass door shower stalls and very slippery floors. I fell in their shower, and very brutally spun around on the floor of the shower landing half on the bathroom floor as the door swung open and cut me, I injured myself pretty decently, was bleeding and tore a muscle in my ankle. I'm only 20 years old, and I've honestly never fallen in the shower in my life. When I calmly shared this with the man at the front desk ( I was a bit shy to make any kind of scene about it, as I had never had to handle something like this) I was shown a great deal of disrespect and was barley acknowledged. I was limping and simply told him what had happened and he responded with nothing but "oh" and proceeded to check me out, I was not impressed and I will never return. I had half a mind to look into my injuries legally after being so disregarded.

Convenient location right off the highway, friendly staff, and for us, Pet Friendly was a plus. I was happy to have a place suitable for my little dog, even if there was a small charge I thought it was worth it. When you travel with a pet, you find out how un-friendly some businesses can be; and I don't blame them for being cautious. There are some pet owners who are lazy, inconsiderate, and messy; and the small fee asked by this business was quite reasonable. They are smart enough to have rooms suited for this, no carpets and in our case, ground floor close to an exit. In fact, with my wife's allergies, I think no carpet in rooms is a smart choice, and a good idea even if there are no pets. Much easier to clean and maintain. There is nothing worse than smelly, musty old carpet in an otherwise decent room, to make it all seem distasteful. Dated or not, we thought the room was clean and well suited for our needs. Thumbs up !

Felt over priced for how dated the rooms are and how old and uncomfortable the mattresses are. Walls are pretty thin. Staff seems friendly. Was clean.

Lets just say definitely stay somewhere else. I gave this place a two star rating because I am able to look past a lot of things considering the price however it does not excuse some basic things I came across. I have stayed at motels much nice than this before that were in remote areas. First of all staff is very rude. I thought at first maybe it was someone having a bad day. As someone who has worked in hospitality for 8 years I understand we all have them HOWEVER nobody here seems happy. The staff isn't friendly at all and none of them seem to enjoy what they're doing. Front desk who should be people you want to go interact with, seem very uptight. The breakfast is decent with cereal, bagels, frozen waffles, toast, coffee and fruit. Definitely make sure you bring that little slip with you and put it in the jar. The woman working kept yelling at everyone to put them inside. I understand for many guests there is a language barrier however the yelling is unnecessary. Especially considering she is working and we are guests staying at the establishment. I decided to check out the fitness room which was a total joke. They have a mattress taking up half the room and then four machines that looks like they got picked up off the side of the road. They are super old and the room is run down. The outside states they had renovations done which seems like its only the flooring in the rooms. Bathrooms need a MAJOR improvement. It is old and rusty. To give a few positives because I think you should, it is conveniently located. There are many restaurants, fast food joints and even a grocery store within walking distance. It is right next to the highway and there are nice places to drive around to simply 10 mins away. I highly suggest the Brockville Tunnel it was very beautiful. The room itself is decent. Mine did come with a microwave and fridge which as old as they were I can still appreciate having there. The place does come with free WIFI which is definitely a bonus. I just think overall there are basic practices that cost no money that can help this place improve. Its not hard to smile or say good morning. It would make the experience a little more pleasurable if those basics were in place.
