By far the worst hotel, room and service we have ever had! The desk staff was not friendly at all and when I asked her for an extra blanket I was told no. She then decided to leave her phone and get a blanket but was not happy about it.nOur room was not clean, there was some other guests earring in the bedding. There was no hot water and no bath towel for a family of 4. When asked for towels, we received one. There was no bath mat to step out on, not safe.nI do not recommend this place at all, the parking lot was not removed of snow making it slippery to walk on with luggage
Even the parking lot showed signs of neglect. The Snow hadn't been fully removed and it hadn't been salted. The lot was slippery to walk on. The hotel is extremely bare bones and run down. Not so much as a picture on the walls. Two of three light fixtures didn't work. The cleaning staff requested a room change in our behalf. The second room was no better. The room was very dirty. It looked like they may clean the sink, tub and toilet, but the baseboards and lights were filthy. Mirror had spots on it. The ceiling air vent was broken, the wall furnace worked but the side was hanging broken. The walls needed a good scrubbing.nWe decided not to stay and asked for a refund. The desk clerk was very pleasant and refunded without argument.
I would recommend that you ask to be placed in a renovated room if possible. The difference is very noticeable. The staff were very helpful. The room was ok, I’m not a fussy person. I know others would have asked to be moved if there was a possibility to do so. The breakfast was a nice way to start our day. The pool looked inviting but unfortunately the weather wasn’t cooperating. Only stayed the one night. If I am ever to go back to this location, if, I would ask for a newly renovated room for sure.
I spent 5 hours on a bus, and wanted nothing more than to have a quick shower and rest before getting to the purpose of my visit.nnI'm not a frequent traveller, so had no idea I'd be expected to produce a drivers licence as I'd booked online and at no point is this mentioned.nnFront desk attendant was condescending at best, debit machine didn't work, they refused to accept cash.nnwere it possible to leave zero stars, I would. I will advise anyone I know who's headed to Brockville to avoid this place.
Dirty.nnThese are the replacement pillows received, which we tossed to the floor for the night. The shower curtain is filthy and stinks. Hairs in the sheets; the outlet and lamp next to my side of the bed were broken; and the room was not modern at all. We didn't trust using the towels or sleeping under the covers.nnIt feels like a truck stop type of place. The hall carpets were almost black with dirt, and as soon as we came in, there was a spider the size of my hand to greet us as well as a strong smell of an industrial cleaning solution.nnI like that the vending machine was fully stocked, but I wouldn't take any ice from the machines there. The front desk people are fine. You can't let the key card near your phone as it will deactivate it. There was both a microwave and fridge in the room and three ways to lock the door. We didn't trust but to take one yogurt from breakfast as it was factory-sealed.nn$221 for one night. I am in deep, lasting shock.
