Room felt pretty cold and uninviting with the harsh hospital-like lighting, which made the building’s more aged interior feel decrepit instead of homely and welcoming. Pretty comfortable when you get down to it however, and works well as just an overnight stay. Staff were great and very kind, providing help when I asked and the bed was fine. Very much just a get what you pay situation, I feel a lot of people expect too much for what it really is. An elevator would make it considerably more accessible for disabled folk too, so if you’re unable to walk up stairs make sure to tell them that before you get there.
Do not waste your time or money. This place is the most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed in. Poorly renovated. Shower drain was slow and you would be standing in ankle deep water while showering. No cover on lighting fixture in bathroom just fluorescent tubes exposed. Carpets in hallway filthy. Only one ice machine worked in the whole hotel. It was loud and staff did nothing about it. People in the halls drunk and yelling until 3 am. They gouged us on the price as we were there for a hockey tournament. Charging us 274.00 a night when the normal rate is 89.00. And let me tell you it was not worth the 89.00.nAlso come to find out there was also a murder/suicide in this hotel in 2012. May not bother some people but had I known that fact alone I would never have stayed there.nThere are plenty of other hotels to choose from. Do yourself a favour and move along to one of them.
Location was great, found it close by to everything.nnService, rooms and hotel itself - RUN nThink twice before even thinking of booking at this place unless you want to be sleeping in someone’s piss stained sheets.nThe bathroom was no where near clean one bit there was THICK layers of soap scum, dirt every where, other women’s hair & another guests garbage was left behind. This place is disgusting.nnWhen requesting a refund for my days I WASNT there, they have been refusing and denying I even stayed there regardless of confirmation from booking.com.
My girlfriend and I had a great one night stay here. We checked in late 10pm but the receptionist was friendly and check-in was quick. The rooms were comfy, clean, and modern. The breakfast was solid if unspectacular with eggs, sausages, pastries, fruit, and cereal. Waffle mix was gone by the time we got down. Location is very central and easy to get to. Overall extremely pleased with our stay, especially for the cheap price!
Nice place to stay. Reasonable price, convenient location, cozy room. You can open the window to get fresh air. The room is floor, not carpeted like other hotels full of dust and bad smell. The best hotel I stayed in during my week in Canada.
