Thunderbird Stadium

Came to the last home football game of the year. It was my first time ever and won't be the last. The field is beautiful with an amazing backdrop. For $17.50 you cannot go wrong for a night of entertainment and my daughter who is 12 is free as 12 and under is free admission. Will definitely come back next season!

Good field with an okay amount of lighting for later games. The spectator seating could be better. The bleachers are only partially covered, so lower seats are exposed to the elements when it rains. The seats are also fairly far back from the field, which can make it difficult to see. On a positive note, seeing the soccer stadium that was used to film “She’s the Man” irl was so cool!!

Went to watch an ultimate showcase against UW it was great!! The vibe and the players were great! Watch any ultimate showcase there if anymore this year or later onwards

Thunderbird Stadium is a unique open-air venue with a retro vibe and striking architecture—those concrete thunderbird statues on the towers are iconic. It’s home to UBC Thunderbirds football and soccer games, and occasionally hosts rugby matches and music festivals. The grassy embankments offer flexible seating, and the sunsets here can be stunning.nHowever, the stadium is showing its age. Seating is mostly bench-style and not the most comfortable. Facilities like washrooms and concessions are basic, and parking can be a hassle on busy event days. Still, the atmosphere during games is spirited and welcoming, especially for students and locals.

Saw a number of games here over the years, primarily rugby union. Great and venerable venue, with snacks and drinks although on the exxy side.
