Overall good experience. I love greasy spoon type diners and I would classify the Village Family Restaurant as such. No frills just good service and good food. I had the breakfast combo #1 which includes 2 eggs, 3 bacon, 2 ham, 2 sausage, 2 french toast, regular toast and a healthy helping of homefries. They cooked both the sausage and bacon well done which I liked and there was enough food to bring home. Parking: The restaurant is small, with about maybe 7 tables. There's about 8 to 10 parking spots, which should be plenty to service a full diner.
I've been here many times to sit down to have dinner with a friend. They had a nice selection of food and beverages to choose from in their menu. The food I ordered was hot and it tasted very good. The waitresses that served our table were friendly and helpful. This place is small with tables and chairs. They do have washrooms with wheelchair accessible entrances. They have free parking at the front of the restaurant.
I have been wanting to come here for quite some time now. We were late for breakfast but the menu for lunch and dinner looked amazing and so reasonably priced. I got the chicken pita with Greek salad and it was SOOOOO good. The Greek salad was very fresh and authentic. Probably best salad I've had in a long time. My kids got some BLTs with fries and we were very impressed with the fries. Pretty sure they are home made. We will for sure be back for chicken souvlaki dinners. So glad I finally came here. I will be back often. Thank you!!!
This is honestly the best breakfast my family has had out in a long time. We are a traveling family and eat a lot of breakfast on the road so trust me when I say this place is worth a visit. Every part of the breakfast was excellent. The service was great and the food came quickly. We also couldn't believe the price. Kid-friendliness: They gave us a little bowl of fruit for our son even though they don't usually serve the fruit bowl during the week. It was very thoughtful.
Excellent service, delicious & beautifully presented food, decent price, and large portion sizes! Will definitely drop by here again! I stopped by this local restaurant with my husband and some friends on the way to St. Jacobs. My friends ordered the eggs benedict veggie breakfast, and my husband ordered the pancakes. After telling the waitress that I would share the pancakes with my husband she replied "That's a smart idea!". We didn't understand what she meant by that until the pancakes arrived at our table... they were HUGE! The pan you see in the photo is meant for a large pizza, so you can imagine 3 large pancakes of that size. All 4 of us were not able to finish it!
This is a small family owned restaurant. The food quality is excellent and the prices are very good. The real beauty of this restaurant is the feeling that you’re sitting down at a close friends house to eat. We’re lucky enough to live close by and eat here often.Recommended dishesEggs Benedict, Western Sandwich, Rib Special
Now CLOSED for good. According to the Village facebook page, the last day was January 22, 2023. A great team with the best food and value around. Good luck in your future!
Honestly, what a random gem to find. Before I start, try the pie. I had the cherry. It was delicious. I stopped in w/my dad to wait-out some 401 traffic. Looks to be a mom and pop kinda spot. Menu is eclectic I would say, but what I got was fresh and made to order. It's a small dining room with booths and tables. And even has a bar! We had the hot beef open faced sandwich w/fries. And, peameal bacon Swiss burger. The hot beef was okay, the burger was fantastic and clearly home made. 10/10 I'd recommend to a friend.
Small cozy restaurant with great food and staff. I've had one of the best burgers in my life here. Other foods are also great. Freindly and welcoming staff. Definitely recommend and come back soon for dinner
Have driven by this place a 1000 times and decided to give it a try today. The breakfast was incredible. Had a classic 2 eggs over easy, bacon, toast, and home fries and couldn't be happier. Eggs were perfect, 4 huge slices of bacon, and probably the best homefries on the grill I have ever had. They are cooked with peppers and onions and perfectly seasoned. They also use a premium whole wheat/ whole grain bread rather then cheap 2.00 loaves like most places. We also got the kids order of pancakes to go and they were massive! All at an incredibly reasonable price and served by the nicest waitress I have had in a while. Will definitely go back and try lunch and dinner options!
