According to my friend who recently visited Greece, the taste was almost as good as what they had back there. Seriously the best food on the planet, amazing service, great atmosphere, fair prices, and huge portions! I've been going here for over 10 years, and I've never been disappointed. They are consistently amazing!
I can't say enough good things about the people at Greek Garden. Fantastic food, amazing prices, and the service is top notch. The service is definitely what my wife and I love mostly about this place. The ambience is wonderful and quaint. My go to meals are always either the gyro or chicken souvlaki. Generous portions. If you're in the Guelph area definitely worth a visit!
They had a bit of a bad time several years ago and we decided to try them again. We've been there now for about 3 or 4 times and we have found that the service is really good very courteous, very attentive. Their menu offers a good selection and the food is very good and if you have a large appetite you will not disappointed you get quite a lot on your plate., The prices are quite reasonable. We intend to keep going back and we will bring friends with us.
I got the seafood platter. It was pretty bad. However the other items were all pretty good. I cannot confirm the authenticity as I’m not familiar with Greek food
Food rated 4 stars, server 1. We had a rude, slow, forgetful server who seemed to resent our presence. While we heard the server at the next tables be friendly and seemed to provide great service, we really felt we were a bother to ours. Great apps, enjoyed the bruschetta and spanakopita. Greek salad was excellent, but the souvlaki pita was just okay. Chicken was dry, definitely not a do over. The baklava for dessert was very good but the rude, abrupt server was off putting. We may try this place again but will definitely avoid that particular server.
Update on July 12th 2022. My wife, my 2½ years old son and I came to dine-in at Cafe Greek Garden. The Chef Setar recognized my son and I from so many times we have come for takeout. Chef Setar was wonderful and he spoiled my son with a special kids meal. We were assist by Juan. He was very polite, friendly and helpful. Juan gave us great menu recommendations. We got our food served, and the presentation, details and portions were phenomenal We were delighted with our food and how delicious it was. We will definitely come to dine-in more often. I am so happy that this restaurant is so close to my house. Full recommended ≈================================= March 2022 After a long time ordering take-out, I finally came in person to the Cafe Greek Garden to pick-up my order and check out the restaurant. The restaurant itself is very well set up, clean and organized, and with a great atmosphere. Their food is simply delicious and always very fresh. The Cafe Greek Garden is one of my family favorite restaurants. The two young ladies who assisted me when I went, they were very friendly and professional Thursday March 17th 2022 around 8:20pm. Fully recommended PS: I will post pictures of the food next time. I wanted to enjoy my food so badly that I forgot to take a picture, but trust me... it was delicious Kid-friendliness: Chef Setar recognized my son and I from the many times we have come for takeout and he spoiled my son with an amazing kids meal. Parking: Lots of parking available and very spacious.
This is our second time visiting, our first visit was amazing pre pandemic. This time the service was only great from our server. The poor service was right from walking In the door. Not a friendly welcome at all. And ya better walk fast to see where she left the menus on what ever table she threw them on or u be guessing where your sitting. The food was almost to fast. As we didn't even have a sip of wine yet. If we wanted fast food we would of went to McDonald's. Will not be back!!! Parking: Park across road
Came here for dinner with my family tonight. It was my first time here but my brother in law has been coming here for his family for a long time and has always enjoyed it. Excellent food, excellent service. I’ve been to Greece and it is Santorini vibes in there, it’s super cute. Food is definitely higher quality Greek food than your average place. I always also like seeing servers in sneakers, I like that they want their staff on their feet for hours to be comfortable.
Picked up some Take-away recently and was very surprised to find that the quality of the food has gone downhill. It was disappointing, the potatoes were not as they used to be from the past, and the pork was overdone tough and dry. While I was there another diner complained about their chicken being dry and tough, the kitchen staff seemed to scoff it off and then started scrambling. This restaurant always used to be the best go to locally for Greek food, but now it is just average.
