This is my family’s favourite shawarma restaurant in Guelph. The food isn’t too salty like I find a lot of other shawarma places make their food. The flavours are perfectly melded together to create a great dining experience every time. Moe the owner is a class act and you can tell he prides himself in making great food. We literally eat food here every week. You’ll love it. Best shawarma in Guelph!
From the moment I walked in to the moment I left I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome. The person working I found out later was one of the co-owners and he definitely looked like he didn’t want to be there. When I walked in he was on his phone and didn’t acknowledge my presence for a few minutes. When he did assist me, he was very very short with me. I feel like I did nothing wrong. I as the customer greeted him with a smile which wasn’t returned. He just looked grumpy that I wanted to spend my hard earned money at his place of business. One of the more memorable moments is when I asked for extra onions and was told that there was already onions in the salad. The small small salad that was mixed in a metal bowl that had leftovers from the previous salad made. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate. It came with bland rice, dry chicken that even the garlic sauce he put on without asking didn’t even help, a small sample sized salad, and a couple of dry potatoes. This was the first and last time I will be coming here for shawarma. Shawarma G is just down the road and their food and service is many times better.
Hello, I had a falafel plate and falafel wrap, garlic sauce is literally bitter in taste and falafel was also not good! Whole, falafel plate is bad which includes falafel, rice , salad and potatoes, everything tastes so bad. Even, after sometime , when I called him , that I didn’t feel good after I ate this food , he was behaving rudely and arguing with me, that this is the best place for falafel. Worst place ever to visit and eat shawarma. This is first and last time to visit.
I don't like to say bad things about restaurants, but the customer service is seriously lacking in this place! Food is good but they need to work on communication. Customers don't owe you orders, and they would actually come back if the customer service was great! So used to going to friendly shawarma places, that this was a little bit of a let down. The french fries and garlic sauce were good, but the other food was just fine and ordinary shawarma.
Best chicken shawarma in Guelph!! I’ve stopped going to all the other places! Super fresh. Super delicious! Glad I gave this place a chance! Yum.
First time trying this place. Got 2 chicken shawarma plates. Salad and potatoes and rice were great. Pickles were popping with flavour. The chicken and the garlic sauce is where it got lost for me. Chicken was dry and not enough flavour for me. Garlic sauce needed more flavour too. After trying every shawarma place in town now, chicken and sauce rates last, but salad and potatoes and rice are first place.
Best shwarma I've had in Guelph. Juicy chicken chunks. Turnip is the bomb. Price is on par with other shwarma shops. A bit light on the garlic sauce but I usually order extra - forgot to ask as I was enjoying chatting with both folks working today when I visited. They even threw in some extra turnips for BF because I mentioned he likes the good stuff on his birthday! I hope you do well here Kasa Meza because we have lost some other good local eats recently. I will be sure to send bf to bullfrog mall more now!!!!
One word. Delicious. This is a popular eatery, especially with students. The food is delicious from the lentil soup to the gyro! If you're in Guelph and hungry this is the place to go! AND it's HALAL!
Even if you say you don't want something on your wrap, like tomatoes or turnips, they'll put it on anyways. They don't pay attention. 1 star is generous.
Hidden gem! The food is fresh, deliciously spiced, and cooked to perfection. Lots of selection for vegetarians and meat eaters alike- also if shawarma isn’t your thing, they have burgers and wraps too! Customer service is also fantastic. Can’t wait till I’m back in Guelph so I can drop in again!
