Story

With service quality and overall guest experience being our number one priority, The Upkeep Shoppe has become an award winning spa, located in the heart of Little Italy Ottawa. Since opening in June 2012, the shop has recently expanded, doubling in size. The shop now consists of a mani/pedi lounge, eyebrow bar, luxurious treatment rooms and offers a wide selection of retail. Proud recipients of Top Choice Awards 2013 & 2015 and Three Best Rated award 2017.

The Upkeep Shoppe has by far the best service I have ever received in spa! My time there was so relaxing, the staff was so friendly and welcoming and were very knowledgeable about the products they used on me and were able to answer all my questions. Also, I can't get over the cleanliness of the spa and the staff too! Great service and I will definitely be going back!

Arrived and was taken in right away and shown the nail colour selections. My manicurist arrived and quickly started trying to get me to pick a colour. I mentioned there was nothing in the tones I wanted except that I reluctantly picked. I was expecting a proper manicure. Having my nails soaked etc. No such luck. All the customers were drinking tea and offered refills. Not me, I finally had to ask for a cup. I asked if we could test the colour and I was told with shellac once it’s on we can’t take it off. I’ve been to many salons in the city and never had this response. I was done in 30 min. I can get that type of service in a budget salon and they treat you kinder. No worries, I won’t go back. I’d rather spend a bit more and be treated with service and a smile.

I visit this location every time I’m in Canada! ...and I wish they had a fabulous place like this in the U.S. The building is quaint and the service is exceptional! They offer their own brand of herbal teas to enhance the relaxation while you get your nails done. The nail service quality was great and my nails have never looked better! Can’t wait for my next work trip to Ottawa!!

My favourite and only place where I get my spa services done in Ottawa! The pampering starts as soon as you walk into the Shoppe when you’re greeted with the most friendly staff who make sure you have the most relaxing experience possible. Whether you’re on the main floor getting mani’s or pedi’s done, or in upper level where you relax and refresh to get a top notch facial, The Upkeep Shoppe is a place of refresh and luxury. My favourites are the little added touches like the complimentary tea with every service and being able to add a mini neck and shoulder massage to your service to really complete your time at The Shoppe!

I started out with back waxing and have since started receiving regular facials. They offer a monthly facial program that is affordable. Great value. Great service.
