Never expected this place to live up to its considerable hype - but it absolutely DID. Burlington sure loves the Skinny Pancake! There are several locations. This is essentially a creperie, with sweet and savory options, as well as salads and some other options a hamburger, etc.. But the crepes are the super standouts. Had the Johnny Crepe, a barbecue pulled pork and cheese crepe with a smokey maple sauce. Delicious! Paired well with a local IPA. The ambiance is "semi-service" - order and pay at the counter and food is delivered to the table. The space accommodates live music they were setting up for a show during our early evening visit. This is good fun, a few steps from Burlington's gorgeous waterfront. Highly recommend!
Loved the atmosphere, friendly service, the chalk table was fun. The poutine was salty but delicious. But of course, you are here for CREPES. Our savory pick was my favorite, chicken bacon ranch. Our sweet pick was my wife's favorite, apple pie stuffed! Keep having a crepe day!
We were here for the New Year brunch. Huge queue and wait time as expected. We got our name in the wait list and were able to secure a table in 30 minutes. We had heard a lot about their crepes, so we ordered veggie monster and Johnny crepes along with side of skinny fries. They were out of Jaffa crepe so we ordered blueberry pie instead for the dessert. I found my veggie option average but my friends really liked their Johnny crepe! Worth a try whenever you are here in Burlington.
If you came to Burlington, you can't leave without tasting Skinny Pancake. Let me tell you though, the pancake is NOT skinny! Healthy, but very filling and large portion! Highly recommend to make reservation way in advance! Menu choices: Apple & Brie Savory >>Sweet and sour. What can go wrong with fruit and cheese? Chicken Pesto Savory Vegetarian Savory >>Their squash was great! So filling though Seasonal Fruits Sweet >> Nutella and Pear are great combination, especially when covered with powder sugar.
Felt like I was transported to the Appalachian’s for some reason. The vibe was nice and the food was delicious. You’ll order at the counter and they’ll bring the food to you. The crepes are extremely good - can’t go wrong there for a meal. The blueberry was very good so I’d recommend that one if you’re hesitant on which one to get and enjoy sweet. If savory, go for the cheese and egg. The potatoes stole the show which I’d recommend as a side order. Coffee was alright, but not as presentable as it could be when it comes to the coffee game. All in all pretty good spot to eat. There’s parking nearby and right next to great walking and biking paths.
Our first time visiting and what a great spot to eat. Seating is a little tight if you don’t mind that as we didn’t. The food was excellent and great service the food also came out quick. The business model is a little different you can order via QR code or go up to the counter. Overall great experience and we will be back.
We loved the breakfast crepes so much that we went here twice! Our crepes, burritos, and drinks were delicious. The gin brunch drink with strawberry and ginger and gin hit the spot. 11/10 would recommend.
Close to hotel and the lake a short walk. Interesting set up and food was creative and different all in a good way. All the food was well prepared and flavorful. All the stuff was friendly and helpful. Place is definitely different but in a good way.Food: 5/5
I always wanted to dine looking lake Champlain when I went to Vermont. Last stay I needed breakfast and stumbled upon this place. It was right across the lake. I took my chances and wasn't disappointed. If you love crepes with variations, THIS IS THE PLACE. oh that day's special was beet and roots hash, yumm...
I love local eateries and this did not disappoint. The food was great and the staff friendliness was even better. Had to bring home a bottle of their local maple syrup.Food: 5/5
