This place is great, your quintessential greasy spoon diner! It was busy when we arrived, but there were a few open seats still available at the counter. They only have counter seating, but there are about 13-15 seats. I ordered eggs and bacon which came with home fries and choice of toast, I chose rye. My sister tried the SST which she said was beyond amazing. My food was hot and very tasty too. Definitely a locals type place, but they didn't flinch an eye when us "strangers" showed up. Great service, great food, limited hours, but worth it!
Amazing!! The food is awesome. The seats may not be suitable for larger humans, but we sat near the entrance. Service was great, the Macho Man was by far one of the best reuben sandwiches I've ever had, and the coffee was so good. Definitely check it out if you're staying in Burlington or passing through.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Stopped in for breakfast while on a Dudes trip to Burlington to see Stavros Halkias comedy show. This place is awesome ..... Great food great atmosphere and great people. Sat down and started talking with the owners like we've been going there for years. My buddy Levi took down the chuck Norris breakfast sandwich like it was his job in under 5 minutes .... Would have been quicker if it wasn't hot and fresh off the griddle ...... They might re-name it the Levo Lane. I wish this place was closer to home because I would definitely be a regular. If you're in the area or even close make sure you stop in and enjoy.
Most deliciousness breakfast sandwiches in the whole wild world. Grab a seat and enjoy while sipping a coffee, or walk/drive down to the water and absorb the tranquility of Lake Champlain. Magical enough you forget about the world for a bit.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Atmosphere is awesome. Walk in and they greet you, food is made pretty much in front of you. Yes a little pricey but WELL WORTH IT. Best breakfast sandwiches around hands down. I'd drink an hours from where I live to eat there again and again.Food: 5/5
What an awesome spot! Got the “Big Daddy” and I am gonna be waddling back to my car. Friendly people, great food, cool atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
We were in Burlington to visit UVM from Nashville, and were looking for a great breakfast joint. After a little research we decided on Handy’s, and I couldn’t have been happier. It was delicious. They have lots of breakfast sandwiches to choose from, real French toast, homemade pancakes, and delicious bacon! Couldn’t have felt more welcome to be there too. Really enjoyed it, and look forward to being back!
Handy's Lunch a staple of Burlington since 1945. Earl Handy the third generation is as fine of a man as his Dad was before him. Earl's sisters and until a couple of years ago his Mother could be seen helping out. I went with my usual two Texas dogs with fries. Awesome as always.
Classic diner that has a down to earth feel. Prices are very fair and the owner is very friendly. Had the corned beef hash and eggs over easy. I would definitely recommend stopping by.
Wife and I are visiting the area from out of state. Stopped here for the Thursday lunch special and it was absolutely phenomenal. Hot Ruben had a perfectly crispy outside and the inside was the right balance of meat, sauerkraut, and sauce. Fries were also hot and delicious and it came with a drink. A ton of food for a great price. Highly recommend
