Such a fun night out. The cocktails are really great, often fun and interesting a twists on classics as well as some traditional stuff from the islands. Clarified milk punch is absolutely delicious. Decor is on point. It's fun and a bit crazy in a great way. Also whoever is running the music has great taste, we enjoyed the playlist quite a bit!
Just stumbled upon this place on my walk home . Easily one of the best bars on Danforth and probably in the entire east end. Amazing selection of beer, cocktails and my personal new favorite the Skinny Dip Tiki Punch Bowl. Shane is a great bartender and everyone there was super chill and friendly. Oh and did I mention it's a super perfectly decorated & themed Tiki bar? 10/10 can't wait to go back.
Tiki bar in the east end of Toronto. Awesome atmosphere, and decor, the place feels vibrant. Plenty of tropical cocktails to choose from, as well as beers and virgin options. Friendly staff, very accommodating and attentive. Recommend. #tikibar
Fantastic. The DJ spun vinyl records of 50's-60's beach music with great dance vibe. The atmosphere and decor is awesome. Would recommend the Domestic Dispute shareable drink. Very tasty!
Wonderful cocktails and the service was really fantastic! We went on a super hot/humid evening and without AC it gets really muggy in this place. The servers passed out spray bottle of cold water to mist ourselves with. It was a nice little touch and actually a lot of fun.
Great Tiki Bar atmosphere! I haven't had vacation for a while. Visiting The Shore Leave helped to forget that I am in Toronto at least for few hours. Fun decorations, good selection of drinks which are actually strong and good service. What else do you need? Beach...
I'd give it 3.5 if possible because it's really understaffed which takes away from the overall experience but it's still a nice hangout. In honesty, I'm not a big fan of tiki bars or drinks... but I am 110% behind new legit cocktail bars in the east end, especially East York where they're still rather rare. Really excited to try it out, and came in with an open mind towards their tiki drinks. We walked in and saw quite a few people but also free tables and sat down for a while. Unfortunately there was only one server/bartender for the whole place. She was super nice but clearly swamped. Tiki drinks can sometimes be labour-intensive/complex which does not make her job easy at all. I assume there is generally table service but she simply didn't have the time. We had to go up and ask for menus which there weren't enough of for all the patrons so a nice guy at the bar gave me his. It took a long time to get drinks cos she had so many to make constantly. If you have no rush and just want to sit back and chat, you probably won't even notice the wait. The decor is typical tiki beach and well done. It definitely looks the part! The whole place has a welcoming vibe, probably thanks in part to being on the eastside where we're a little more laid back. As I said, tiki isn't usually my thing so perhaps my opinion of the drinks isn't worth much but none of them blew me away. I didn't really care for the flavours and they're just too big and weak which is typical tiki. I assume if you are a fan of tiki, you'd probably like these a lot more because they are made well and presented nicely. I'd for sure recommend this bar if you enjoy beachy/tiki vibes and a lowkey, friendly local place. Note: my visit was like 4 months back so maybe it's staffed better now!
Really cool spot on the danforth. Love that they have live jazz bands which is so hard to find now. Oysters could have been better. Served at the incorrect temperatures. Cocktails were tasty and innovative.
I love this place! An absolute gem. Amazing decor, great cocktails, good tap selection, excellent prices. Definitely worth a trip out to see!
This place is wonderful. We pop in for a fancy drink whenever we're heading downtown for an evening. Great decor and service.
