Delightful. Everything was great- service, food, and ambiance. Hidden gem. We had the fish, chicken waffles and the fingerling potatoes. Bravo to the kitchen! Everything was well done- flavour, texture and presentation. Most people come here for brunch but i would recommend even for dinner. Would highly recommend Food: 5/5
The first thing that catches your eye is how pretty this place is. Right from the charming red door to the plans inside and the wall paintings, this is a quaint place to catch up with your friends over brunch. They have an outdoor patio but we couldn't experience it during the winter. We visited in February. Reading the reviews online we made reservation that promptly got us a seat. They have a few good options in terms of the food and options for vegetarians. A bunch of us in our party ended up ordering the smoked salmon scramble, which was decent. I personally would have preferred getting something else since I found the salmon too salty. But the potato fingerlings that came with it were bomb. Eggs in this dish were perfect but the portion wasn't filling we all have huge appetites. In retrospect I should have ordered the savory french toast that a lot of reviews recommended. One of my friends ordered the bodega burger which looked delicious my kinda food. Our party also ordered the vegetarian sandwich but received an omelette instead of the scrambled egg mentioned in the menu - no big deal for us but if you're particular about how your eggs are made, that's something to consider. Our party also ordered some lemonades, which came with a straw in a packaged bottle - fresh lemonade would have been nice. Washrooms are downstairs, down a very narrow staircase. One of the toilets is the size of an airplane toilet! Vegetarian options: A few options for the vegetarians in your gang
I was looking for an Irish Pub I remembered from year's back. To my surprise it was a new spot. I checked it out while my partner waited in the car. I looked in and saw a selection of wine for purchase and a fun vibe. My partner and I got in without a resso and the small place was soon filled. Eli was our server and totally awesome. The food was amazing - like really really good and unique! My partner and I are so happy we found this place and will be back especially for the little patio during the summer. Thanks Bodega Henriette team for running such a great place!
Hands down my TOP 3 Brunch places in Toronto! - only because I’m still on a journey to find something as great Although the space is quite small, would highly recommend reservations or getting there a bit early - the food is phenomenal. I ordered the Savoury French Toast - w/ pork belly and bacon … it was to die for. They also use a different type of homemade bread that’s crispy on the edges but SOAK all the flavour from the syrup and flavours in between. My bf got the eggs Benedict which he adored! - so good. The service was amazing, the vibe was cozy and best part is that they have a little nook in the front where you can buy fresh baked goods I had the sugar cookie to go - just GET IT You also see families and couples grabbing from the store throughout which was so cute! Experience it if you’re curious - it was amazing!
Must try!!! What a quaint, cozy, delicious spot for brunch!!! The atmosphere was fantastic, especially the patio. It's nicely shaded and has cute decor. The food was really good. We ordered the School's Out cocktail which was super refreshing. We also ordered the eggs benny with peameal bacon, salmon brioche sandwich and the savory french toast my fave. The service was great - very friendly and prompt service. It wasn't too busy for a Saturday @ 11am, but it does fill up quickly. Better off to make reservations, just in case. Make sure you go on a nice day so you can enjoy the nice patio!!!
The flavours of the dishes here! The pork belly French toast is a must! The French toast and maple syrup combination go perfectly together with the tart blueberry compote. The home fries are super crispy and fluffy on the inside. Don’t forget to grab some cookies from the cafe on the way out!
Cosy spot for delicious brunch with very friendly service. The food tasted so good! I went for the Benny and it came on a croissant with really nice potatoes. The french toast were also really good and I highly recommend it! One of the best brunch spots I've visited in Toronto. Absolute gem in the neighbourhood! You can easily book online which is great if you are someone like me who doesn't like to queue when they are hungry!
Came here for brunch with a friend. It’s a cute and cozy little restaurant with great service. I ordered the breakfast and an oat latte, both of which were good. They do take reservations which is so rare for Toronto and so convenient. The French toast seems to be a big deal here so I’d probably want to try that next time!
Ambience is really good. For summers it's good to be out on patio The food is really good must try falafel sandwich and its better to come in the morning for fresh croissants. Better to have reservation as well.... Over all the vibe and the food was awesome
Amazing hidden little gem. Make sure you make reservations beforehand as it's a very small place. So there is far and few seatings. Good is good and the interior is interesting. Coffee is mediocre as I've had better from around the area. Coffee was slightly diluted. It's a small and packed area, a great place for brunch.
