A fun cafe with friendly knowledgeable staff. This place offers a good selection of food items and an even larger variety of board games to play. Prices are reasonable - the food quality is only okay but they allow patrons to play board game on premise for hours. I'd visit this place again
Really nice and unique setup: boardgames and food. They have booths and small/large tables to cater to different group sizes. The boardgames selection is quite nice, have games for kids/preschool, family and friends. We came here for their brunch menu. The bowls are a bit small portion so it's not filling. No free drinks refill unfortunately. 2 hour sitting time limit. 2 games limit.
2 in 1 bonus, you get to choose from over 300 board games to play while you eat. Perfect for all ages including for families, couples, friends. The food was amazing, I tried the sandwich shown in picture that used a coffee BBQ sauce. Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place with plenty of board game options for children as well. Parking: Plenty of parking available in the lot.
As always, great food and even greater service! Definitely play a game or two of the many MANY options available to play while in the Bistro and if you like it, buy it and support such an amazing place to flourish further!
Great service, we had a fun time and ate delicious food. Our server was very kind. We will definitely be back!
We always have a great time at The Raving Gamer! Our most recent visit was no exception -- the food was amazing we "Drafted" our own burgers and the fries were on point!, the drink selection was great love the Field House Salted Porter!, and the staff were attentive and friendly! They also have an excellent board game retail section with good stock and competitive prices. We purchased a game Beyond the Sun. They can also order in lots of games that they may not carry in-store. So definitely ask if you're looking for something specific! They have lots of great games to play during your visit, too, with a variety of family, entry level, and "gateway" games. The family who owns this bistro, along with the Game Master Dan are all wonderful people and it's great to see what they've built over the years! If you haven't checked them out, it's definitely time to pay them a visit!
I have been wanting to go here since it opened, I finally went! So glad we did, it was so delicious! Played some Yahtzee while we waited for food. I ordered the Club sandwich, wife got the burger. Both were amazing! Will be back for sure sooner than later.
Good place, creative theme and was a nice experience! The staff was extremely friendly and the place had amazing selections of board games ready for people. Definitely a family friendly place. The food was okay- I would say it was a bit expensive compared to the quality and the portion of the food. Felt like $15 should have been enough. I understand the 2 hours limit for staying there but did not understand the limit of 2 board games in total because what are you supposed to do, play Jenga for an hour? I would recommend to visit there at least once with your friends or family for a fun game night- not sure about revisiting. Overall a solid 3/10 experience.
Fun place full of games. Our family had a blast. Staff was knowledgeable about games and had good recommendations. The food was decent.Food: 3/5
Love this place for a casual meal and games with friends. The food surprised me. I was expecting diner type food, but it's gourmet. The charcuterie board, bison burger and coffee are my faves. Really nice menu including a vegan menu. They cater proudly, I think to special dietary needs. So respectful on their part. Hard drinks also available, but I haven't tried any. I have to keep my wits about me when competing at games.
