Loved the Dine-out Vancouver menu! $38 for an amazing ravioli duo appetizer, blackened chicken my husband, and the salmon for me. White chocolate cheesecake and an apple tart for dessert. Amazing food and excellent service
This was the first time Cactus Club didn’t meet our expectations with food or drinks. Steak was overcooked, lemongrass chicken salad bowl was lacking serious flavor and the Kyoto fizz and frozen cosmo just didn’t hit the mark. Our server was great and we ordered quite a variety but it was very average…maybe that is what you get for happy hour? They have onsite parking which is almost always full and I would overall recommend another location.
Starting with what went well ! Food was tasty. We ordered Spicy chicken and Thai curry. Both preparations tasted good as well as presentation was nice. In drinks we ordered Moscow mule and Frose….again taste and presentation was good… What did not go well - we wanted patio seating but the ones available were only if high chairs which was not comfortable. The regular seating in the patio was closed. This was quite disappointing as it is in this weather only when you want to be seated in the patio. Secondly we wanted to have chocolate lava cake but that was unavailable. So start and end of the evening was not all that great
Delicious. Both steak frites were cooked perfectly and full of flavour and so juicy. Nicely presented food and the server was on top of it and very nice!
Went to Vancouver for my husband’s birthday trip and to visit some family of mine. We all decided on Cactus Club for a nice dinner. It was my first time here and I already cannot wait to go back! The drinks were good. Service was great, I wish I got the name of our waitress… oh but the food!! My husband got the millionaires cut, which was so worth it! I got the creole steak and prawns. The sauce was delightful. The mashed potatoes were quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. Snuck a bite of the tuna stack that my cousin ordered as a main entree…it was a great combination of flavors and so fresh! This place did not disappoint. We were all so full by the end of our meals that we did not want dessert but they gave my husband a free chocolate lava cake for his birthday that we all shared. So rich and gooey with the perfect vanilla ice cream to add the right amount of creaminess to the mix. In all, this was by far the best place we ate at while in Van city/Langley. I wish we had a Cactus Club in California!
It was after a long time me and Mrs. went out for a dinner. Seats were reserved and server was very welcoming. Their spirit free cocktails were awesome. The truffle fries were very fresh. We both tried different bowls. The chicken in Med Bowl was way too dry. It was like chewing rubber. Rest of the salad, humus and rice were okay. The Thai green curry bowl was very good with right balance o textures and flavors. The food took way too long but the server was very proactive and she apologized and put both the drinks on the house. nice of her Chocolate lava cake was not what it used to be. Too crusty outside and not enough gooey inside. It was a cross of cracker and moose. Not happy. Overall thanks to the staff it was 4 out of 5 experience.
One of our favourite restaurants to dine in. Ambiance is excellent with great service. We like the food a lot. Prices are at par with the restaurant category, which is reasonable. I recommend the blackened chicken creole or the equivalent in steak.
Food was delicious as always. Waitress was fairly decent making sure we were doing okay. Food came out in a reasonable time.
We had reservations made in advance for my nephew's birthday. The waitress sat us at a tiny booth outside and said she had no other tables for 6 people. We spoke with the manager and got a snarky response that we had to take it or leave it. When you have 3 big guys they won't fit with 3 other people in a tiny wall booth. Service was so slow and the waitress kept spilling drinks on me. The iced tea my father ordered took 45 mins to replace. My father was told he couldn't customize his order, yet other locations had no problems in the past. The Spaghetti was so small and the prawns were half the size of a regular pasta restaurant at double the asking price you could go to Superstore and Save-on and get the same sized prawns in the freezer section. I'm not coming back... ever.
You can always trust Cactus club Cafe for food and drink and a good patio. Weather in Langley or in Downtown, Cactus club is always packed and you can have a good time talking to your work colleagues or friends. They also have a few vegetarian options like chilli tofu which was served with a cabbage to us and tasted awesome. They have a few different types of fries as fries are a no brianer for any group.
