This place is a true hidden gem. They have a wide selection of drinks, I'm sure there is something for everyone. They have games that you can play while you are enjoying a few drinks. It is a really nice fun atmosphere to come and hang out with a few friends and unplug. Seating area is inside a portable structure that does not allow for very good cell phone reception so you honestly get a chance to unplug. We really had a good time. We'll definitely be back. The only reason I was not able to give them a five-star rating was because the gin tasting menu just came as quarter ounce shots, not actual drinks, it just came with tonic water on the side. But knowing that for the future I would just change how I order drinks.
Rustic charm in the farming community of Langley. Friendly service, exceptionally large menu considering the size of the distillery. What they nail, they nail! The Perfect Storm was recommended and is very tasty. The cocktail flight is excellent, as well as their whiskey flight sizeable portions for the price. But the mix-and-match your own spirits flight didn’t compare; the metal shot glasses on a simple board and small portions didn’t impress us. The space is maybe a bit too rustic, lacked a bit of polish however—seating and tables seems a bit thrown together, several of our cups were not clean nor was our table. Parking was limited and a bit of a mess is part farm yard part parking. The drinks and service are worth a revisit tho!
Just driving by and spotted the distillery. Great find! Nice large seating area under the tent. Had the London fog cocktail and the bijou cocktail. Both were very good. Presentation and service were great. Had a flight of 2 vodkas and 4 gins… all very interesting… great way to sample them.
Beautiful picturesque Distillery with some lovely seasonal cocktail offerings. If you're here, I recommend you try the shot samplers. On weekends they also serve pizza sometimes in partnership with a local partner.
Fun little whiskey and spirit distillery. You get to taste the flight in a container right next to reception. I heard the cocktail flight was good and will try that next time!
We arrived at 1:15 today and just wanted to taste their new stuff and buy some bottles. The tasting room wasn't being used so we were directed to their picnic area in the back. We ordered our tasting flight and cocktail flight at about 1:20. Then we didn't see anyone again until 1:50 when we finally flagged the waitress down and told her we had to go, we didn't have time to drink them anymore because we had to be back on the road by 2. I understand that it's Sunday and maybe you're busy, but 30 minutes with no drinks and no communication about the lack of drinks is absolutely ridiculous.
We had the pleasure of tasting Vodka from this distillery while we were at an eatery in Tofino. I touched base via the website to inquire about ordering some online. The response from Rebekah was prompt and she was super helpful. The vodka we tried Black Garlic was absolutely delicious and opens the door to a whole bunch of creative cocktails that I'm eager to try. Great product and fantastic customer service. Cheers R&W!
I had the chance to enjoy a pickle ceasar and a cosmopolitan with a Roots and Wings twist at an event. Both drinks were innovative and delicious as well the 2 ladies representing RnW were friendly and fun. I will definitely check out the distillery
'Beautiful soul' is clearly the requirement of working here. And it shows throughout all aspects. The product. The food. The people.
My wife and I were looking forward to going to Roots and Wings for a beautiful November Sunday sunny afternoon Ceaser. We arrived just before opening to which we apologized to the server/host. She was extremely lovely and accommodating. "Not a problem, let me finish setting up". We said perfect, no problem, we apologize for coming early. She led us to a cargo container for seating, just opened, cold and dark. The temperature was 6 degrees inside. She turned on the lights and the heat and, in the meantime, to allow the container to heat up, we could sit in the sun on this great day. We sat on the front porch in the "reserved seating”, and she brought us waters, so that we were comfortable. As they were open by this time, we took the opportunity to order a couple of Ceasers, while sitting in the sun, warm and happy. A truck pulled in and parked beside the farmhouse. Ten minutes later the phone rang inside the tasting room, where we could clearly hear the server being berated for allowing us to sit at the front tables. She continually apologized, explaining the situation. But the owner on the other end was insistent that we should be sitting in the cold, dark cargo container on this warm and beautiful Sunday afternoon. "These" tables were reserved seating for the owner. We immediately felt sorry that we caused the server to be spoken to like that, she was just trying to make us comfortable. Unfortunately, the owner could care less. We finished our drinks as fast as possible, with sideways looks, so that the owner wouldn't come down any harder on the server that allowed us to sit in his reserved seating. We left the establishment feeling unwanted and our afternoon experience was ruined. We will not be returning.
