Great vibe and food, everything we ordered was tasty, and flavors were on point! Highly recommend this coconut shrimp as a starter, the shrimp itself and the dipping sauce was perfectly match! The seafood linguine, chicken sandwich, and ribs was also great! There are usually a lot of people on weekends at Fort Langley, so it would be a good idea to reserve ahead! We love the restaurant, but we didn’t have the best experience because of the waitress, she was not friendly at all, she was contempt and has the worst attitude ever, didn’t even give smile until she brought out the credit card machine, we don’t know her name, but I hope no one gets her as a server
Dinner with coworker, live music on a Thursday evening, awesome AF. Service was great. The bacon and lentils soup is more like a chilli, not what I expected, but it tasted good. The honey mustard chicken wings were the bomb, I still think about them the next day. Well balanced restaurant, they deserve the ratings they have. Will go back there again for sure
We savored some delectable Meals at this Bistro. 'Flatbread with Wild Mushrooms & Onions' served with Flavourful sauce & Arugula... was excellent in taste. We had also ordered Coconut Prawns with Honey Mustard , Soup of the Day was Chicken with Lentils, Seafood Linguine & Winter Chicken served on a bed of Rice shaped pasta was excellent in taste. Our Attendant was very nice and polite. Highly recommended for a Treat !! Vegetarian options: Many options available from the menu.
Had a wonderful meal here today. It was busy, so we were placed on a waitlist with an estimated seating in approximately 15 minutes. We were called back in 10 minutes, so very reasonable given how busy it was. Our table was al fresco in a nicely shaded area. I noted that table placement was at a sufficient distance to ensure background noise was not intrusive. The entire restaurant is clean and tidy, without any signs of deferred repairs or updating. You can sit here comfortably and focus on the food. The wait staff here are professional and appropriately personal. No young females in little black dresses and heels here, so that was a positive signal for us. Our waitress was prompt and seemed to be actually happy in her role. We ordered a glass of local white wine and the wild mushrooms flat bread appetizer. That was a great pairing. The wild mushrooms flat bread was a savory delight, with layers of flavor emerging with every bite. We ordered the halibut; but asked that it be cooked through as is our preference. This request usually results in somewhat burned fish in other restaurants. Not here though, it was perfectly browned and flavorful. It was honestly one of the best fish dishes we have ever had in a restaurant. It was that good. We also had an artisan salad with grilled chicken breast. I was expecting a standard fare from this usual menu role. It exceeded my expectations with a light application of dressing and wonderful mix of ingredients that combined in new ways at every bite. Truthfully, the chicken breast was superfluous on this salad but it was tasty as well. All was delicious, well plated, and pleasing to the eye. This will be a repeat for us. I do recommend you try it as well.
Had a lovely dinner in this super cozy spot! Dim lighting, smaller space and cute holiday decor is up. It's a very romantic/intimate vibe. The service was excellent, very fast food & drink times. Most importantly the food was delicious! Would definitely come again!
Good food and fast service even on a holiday weekend. The patio is also the perfect place for people watching. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Fort Langley and in search of a great meal.
A favourite restaurant for a couple friends of ours who have gone there 3 weeks in a row. They had the classic breakfast, 2 eggs any style, fried potatoes, cranberry sourdough toast yummy, bacon, and steak tenderloin. They liked their dishes. We had the artisan salad which was very fresh, from the red beets to the walnuts, cashews, figs, it was the best dish we ate! I had the classic benedict and my wife had the avocado toast which included a poached egg on top. This was also very good. Things we want to try another time are the coconut shrimp which looked great at another table as well as the Beatnik burger. I really wanted to get the French onion soup and glad that I didn't. It's $16 for a a little larger than cup size with no bread or flatbread. Now, the things that we expect will happen in the coming months is that this will get busier as it was full when we got there and had a 30 minute wait and the patio wasn't open yet. Parking is hard to find on a Sunday so expect that. Overall a nice atmosphere and if you're wanting a nice place for brunch or lunch I'd recommend for Fort Langley.
We've been going to Beatniks for years for various occasions such as anniversaries. We usually recommend them to friends who are visiting in the area. The food is delicious and they have friendly service. The atmosphere and music is chill and great for small groups of 4-6.
Came here for a business lunch meeting. I was recommended to do so by a colleague. Overall, it was decent. Nothing, I would say to, write home about. The food was pretty standard fair. Nothing overly special or exceptional. For the area, I can imagine that anything too far outside of the box doesn’t do well with the local demographic so I totally understand why they’ve chosen their menu. The service was decent enough. Very friendly, but had to ask for quite a bit throughout the experience cutlery, napkins, drinks, etc.. Lots of room for improvement here. The one aspect that wasn’t ideal, which typically annoys me in general, is when there is a line up prior to opening. From what I’ve heard, this is typical. If a business is lined up before the doors open, this is a good sign that perhaps you should open earlier. Obviously there is consistent demand to have the doors open. It doesn’t need to be much earlier, but having several groups lined up on a Wednesday at 11am seems unnecessary. Friendly staff takes my rating from a two to a four.
Beautiful location , parking nightmare. Swanky crowd. The fried chicken burger could use more sauce, or I'd personally suggest to ask for more spicy sauce on the side if you love a spiiicy burger with 0 dryness. The server w the brunette ponytail and dangly earrings is so attentive and nice. Checked in with me often as I placed a takeout order out on the deck. The server w a cursive tattoo on the back of her left arm loves to make people laugh and smile. I think the owner is very proud of installing his new over-the-front-door heater. Take notice of the slick installation job on this new appliance. It's a very nice touch! Would recommend. Saw a big post-wedding part, saw couples, I was alone, it's very suitable for all types of folks/arrangements.
