Where the heck did this place come from? It's nice to see some sit down options come to a different part of campus. I came for a Saturday lunch and found it delightful! Nice relaxing space. Sorry my burger picture wasn't the best, but the burger was finished quickly!Food: 4/5
Very good food! Service was slightly slow but very polite and friendly.
We had a group lunch of 10+ here and it was excellent in this newer airy dining space. Food was interesting in the diversity of the menu and protein options. Portions were generous and service was attentive and friendly. Thank you Josie, Jenny & team!
This place is a hit or miss. I’ve had amazing chicken and waffles here before but also have had the worst chicken and waffles. The to go quality really varies. The to go wait is usually pretty short but sometimes the food quality is really really poor. I one time got to go chicken and waffles and the waffle was soggy and the chicken was basically nonexistent. It was very disappointing. But when I got it for here, the quality was pretty good. The pasta is a nice option. You can’t really mess up with pasta so the to go and for here quality is pretty consistent. The service really depends on who your server is. I’ve had servers ignore you until it’s time to pay and servers who are always checking in on you. Decent place to use your UBC res dollars
Amazing service and the food was great too! Everytime I have gone with my boyfriend, the server was very nice, upbeat, and checked in frequently with us to make sure everything was alright. We ordered the baked mac and cheese, which was divine, and the chicken and waffles, which were both cooked to the perfect level of crispiness, the last time we went. The only complaint I have is that it's slightly more than I would have liked to pay, but it's definitely worth it.
I usually go here once a year. It seemed busier than normal. The bull I had was very very average white rice some strips of chicken and fine strips of carrot with some slices of cucumber. Very basicFood: 3/5
Delicious food all-around, with options to suit every diet the exception is the weekend brunch menu, which has next to nothing for vegans, but the regular menu is still available during this time. Also surprisingly good dessert. They serve traditional Canadian comfort food but have some options with an interesting twist. The prices are comparable to similar restaurants but the portions are very filling, so not a bad deal. Pre-COVID, it tended to get super loud inside and service could be a little slow, but lately service is friendly and much faster.
We spent over $40 on Lemon Grass Chicken and Spaghetti, neither has salt in them, they don’t taste like anything. It would be very helpful if the waiter tells you “if you don’t order any protein with your spaghetti, you will just get plain boiled noodles”. The Lemon Grass Chicken is cold and overcooked and plain.
We had dinner last night, food was very good maybe the paddy on the Suarez burger could have been a bit less cooked, but, in return, the salmon on the other burger was just perfect and service was helpful, fun and very attentive. And the draft beer was.... delicious! We clearly recommend and will come back, for sure!
Ian made this visit a treat. Personable, friendly, gave me an unprompted sample of beer before ordering it. Reminded me of why I always use to come here as a student. Missed this place.
