Despite being short staffed our server was a pure example of making the best out of a shitty situation. We felt welcomed right when walked in. He was extremely friendly, good sense of humour and was giving us his suggestions on the menu because everything we all picked was amazing.nnReally wish we grabbed his name but he was the tall blonde dude! If you’re seeing this keep up the good work and thank you for making our experience a good one.nnDo yourself the favour and get the sticky toffee pudding

We've been here a few times. The staff are always friendly. Home town feel. We enjoyed the fish and chips special and local cider. Recommended checking out this hidden gem in Gan!

The setting is really homey. The outdoor seating, even with the cooler evenings, was refreshing. The service was prompt, courteous, and professional. But the food was a bit disappointing.nnI had the combo fried chicken and ribs. The ribs were good, if not a little over done. The corn was fresh, as was the cole slaw. But the fried chicken cutlet tasted like the oil in the deep fryer needed to be changed. It was good, but I expected better. And with so many other dining options along main street, I'm sure there's better to be had.

Just overall underwhelming and disappointing.nThe food was literally cold. I had Yorkshire pudding that was so burnt and not at all what I expected. So heavily coated in gravy to try and mask the burnt taste and coldness.nThe reason I didn't complain??? I'm just sick and tired of half assed lazy people putting in no, to little effort. To have to explain the whole of it would have been wasted breath.nnThe server was just that to us, like a robot. Nice woman but gave us nothing, so to speak.nI won't go back.

2024 update! My bestie and I returned twice in the last two months and everything is as incredible as the first time! We were just there again tonight and our server was Hunter and he is absolutely amazing as a server. Fun, engaging and adorable! Thank you Hunter! We can't wait to come back.nnAbsolutely fantastic. First time in Gan, we decided on this restaurant after the 3 hour cruise. We were attended for seating right away. We chose the library themed room, cozy. Waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. Our food was delivered to the table, hot and fresh. We had the cod fish & chips with creamy slaw salad. Everything was perfect. Neither the dish, or the fries were greasy in the slightest. The tartar sauce & slaw were perfection.n10/10 will be back to try something else from the menu. Dessert options looked amazing, but we were too full.
