Benvenuti a Riva!

Riva, meaning the shore in Italian, brings together the 'flavours' of two places that we love very dearly - Italy & the 1000 Islands.

Inspired by the osterias of Italy, Riva is a modern day take on a traditional Italian tavern, paired with nautical elements reminding us of what we cherish most about The River.

A gathering place where locals and visitors alike can drop in on a whim, unwind with a glass (or two) of wine, catch up and enjoy a bite to eat of whatever the Chef is cooking.

Riva is exceptional! Meals are perfectly cooked and a great variety to choose from. Dessert is fantastic. This carrot cake cheese cake with caramel drizzle and hazelnuts on top was something I didn’t know I was missing in my life! Very elegant restaurant for those special occasions. We go when visiting town and always have a great experience.
Dish were well prepared. Well marinated wings with the pepperoni sauce gave a unique flavourful taste. Calamari and salad are well seasoned and you can taste the seafood freshness. Seriously nothing to complain but kudos to the dishes. You can tell they are prepared with passion paired with amber and bonfire black lager beer. Thanks for the meal .
The food is beautifully plated and delicious.nTruly some of the best meals I've eaten.nWhen the weather is suitable, book a table on their patio and enjoy the slow jazz playing alongside the gentle watery sounds of their central fountain.
Authentic Italian dishes. Staff is friendly and service is good. Even weekday nights are very busy. Better make your reservation in advance.
We visited Riva on recommendation of our hosts in a close by B&B. I did read some reviews here and was worried that we could have bad experience. However, I must say that we had a great time and food was great! So nothing to worry about!nnFirst off, although restaurant was full, we got our table right away because we had a reservation. You should call to book your table. Service was fast and attentive, and although it was busy, we didn’t experience any delays! Finally, food was very tasty and made to our tasting. Pizza was delicious and was the best what would you get even from a wood burning oven! We also had meat platter complimented with extra olives and Caesar Salad. It was all very good, and quantity was just what we needed.nnWe chose our own favourite Italian wine Valpolicella and it paired very well with the meal. We had overall great experience at Riva Restaurant.
