The Lodge

Drove 18 hours & over 1000 miles & Was refused service for not having confidential paperwork on my service dog. Offered to show the registration through email & was told they prefer paperwork. Which I must mention is illegal. Will be calling the national pet registry association.

Love the staff they make you feel very comfortable and tgey are very helpful the rooms are cozy enough!

No electric outlets in bathrooms! No hair dryer available that is normally found in most motels! Even bought a hair dryer only to discover no outlet! There were outlets under a counter under small fridge. Low watt spiral bulbs in the bathroom single light . Cant even see to put make up on. With both lamps lit and ceiling light can hardly see . Also no coffee maker. For $138.00/night this was totally awful! I've experienced better in $70/night accommodations!! Would not recommend nor come back.

Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the big chains, but there is a small outdoor pool for summer use and they have yummy bagels, cereal, juice and coffee mornings in the reception area which still has all the original Earl Young designed woodwork and stone fireplace. Comfortable rooms with frig and TV. Lovely hostess/owner who greeted us and visited a little friendly bed & breakfast style.

My wife and I had another nice stay at the Lodge. It does the trick and the retro style is fine with us. It reminds us of better days, long gone. It's within walking distance to everything needed. We will be going back again and again.
