Flew into the airport last minute to see the end of the Venetian festival. Courtyard was across the street. Was so glad they were. Snagged a room. Owners were courteous. Rooms were simple unadorned but clean. About a 20 minute stroll if walking into town. Even closer to the good Flapjack restaurant! ACs are loud but provide good white noise so u don't hear neighbors. Was glad to avoid having to camp!

Recently made a last minute reservation on our way to Charlevoix. Female we spoke with was very kind and helpful. Within an hour experienced car trouble and had to stop in Big Rapids for repairs. When it was evident that we needed to stay in Big Rapids over night, we called the front desk at the Courtside to explain our situation. We spoke to Chris who was extremely rude. He was angry and forceful. Even though no charge had yet been run on our credit card he threatened to charge our credit card regardless and began to rant about how he had never lost a credit card dispute yet. I ended the call. We had already contacted our credit card company and requested they refuse payment to their establishment. Inflexible, lack of compassion, and rude. We have stayed in Charlevoix in previous years and there are other motels in the area that have far better customer service for a similar price.

Looks recently remodel. The guest attendees are very nice.
