Edgewater Inn

Great location! Loved the people and boat watching from our patio. A bit noisy due to the car traffic/drawbridge but that’s part of the ambiance. Short walk to downtown. Our only complaint was that nobody informed us at check-in that the hot tub heater wasn’t working, and apparently it had been down for days according to another guest. We learned the hard way!

The location was excellent and the unit was very clean. It had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. I appreciated the daily housekeeping services. There was someone available at the front desk daily to answer questions until 10 pm. We were able to watch the boat and ferry traffic go through the drawbridge everyday from the balcony, which I really enjoyed! It was an easy walk to the pier to watch the sunsets every evening and to restaurants and shops as well.

It is currently 1:15 am and we haven't slept yet! Although the room is spacious and the view is breathtaking the smell of the room will take your breath away! If you like the combination of pool chlorine and funeral home flowers you will love room 115! The smell is overbearing. But if you like funeral home and chlorine smell this is the room for you!

Building review I would have given the property 3 stars, but because I believe the Inn has potential, and I heard they have new owners within the last 5 years, I gave 4 stars. When you first walk in, it has a very musty smell throughout the hallways in every direction, along with it appears that they are doing renovations and it has trickled out into the hallways with dust, dirt, and cardboard on the floors in front of several units. They lock the place up tight after 5 pm, and if you forget your 4-digit code to get in, you gotta wait for someone else to show up because nobody answers the phone at the front desk. I get it, you're not a hotel, but you need a better system,cso if people get locked out of the building.nUnit 118C Review The unit we stayed in was very nicely decorated, and as soon as you walk in, you can see the view of the water with the ferry boats and the drawbridge, which made that part of the stay even nicer. Nice sized King bed and large TV in the living room. Refrigerator was very noisy, but I was told that they were replacing it. A few small amenities would have been nice for the price. Real coffee or coffee pods and enough cream and sugar for at least 2 people. Those little perks make a huge difference on your stay

Hard to leave after a long weekend watching boats come and go. Staff was excellent. Rooms can be a little dated however well worth the view of Round Lake and economical cost to stay on property. We visit/stay twice a year and love it.
