The Joy of Gluten Free (West End)

The one issue that I have is that the bread is cut manually and inconsistently with a mix of thick and thin slices. I have to say that I really enjoy their chickpea bread, it’s the best that I have had however be warned that it has a ton of airpockets holes but that’s probably what makes the texture so great. For $10 a loaf, I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend until the shop invest in a bread cutter.

My husband just bought a cake from this bakery for my birthday. It was a very beautiful chocolate cake. It is too bad it was dry, grainy and icing a bit too sweet. I have had many other gluten free cakes before this does not stack up. I am not sure about the other cakes that is the only one i have tried. I have tried cookies and still not a fan. I really wanted to like this place.

$10 for a loaf of bread with about 10 ingredients! The bread smelled very 'eggy' and didn't taste good. Overpriced, low quality. The owner was very impatient, bordering on rude, answering questions. Will not go back. Do not recommend it.

Went here yesterday and got a vegan marble cookie, a vegan brownie, and a loaf of the vegan sourdough bread. The store front (not there fault) is not inviting at all, the inside could use some inviting renovations, it was drab. The cookie however was wonderful! The brownie was terrible, I had one bite and threw it away, it had a very weird taste I don't know how to discribe. The bread tasted great but the entire loaf had a giant hole all the way through it, no way for me to make a sandwich or anything, and if I'm paying 9$ for a loaf of bread I would like it to be whole pieces. I might go there again if I was in the area but honestly would not make a special trip.
