This is one of our go to places when we're in Toronto. The selection of hummus dishes is fantastic. The quality is incredible as are the prices. You can usually get two meals out of one hummus dish. If theres anything to complain about, it's that the washrooms could be cleaner. But other than that, this place is perfect. We'll definitely be back. Food review: 5/5.
I have a high standard for good hummus, and this definitely exceeded that. Firstly, there are many vegetarian options. Secondly, the quality of the hummus is fantastic. The bowl comes with two pitas, so it winds up being a solid meal for somebody with a heavy appetite, if you intend to finish it in one sitting. We bought two different types of hummus and both were good in two different ways.
Very impressed on all aspects of the business. The aesthetic look, the taste, the price and the customer service. This is not your typical middle eastern fast food joint that’ll just serve a meat, hummus and pita. There is a lot of love and care and thought and character put into making each dish. I had the Chicken Shawarma Hummus bowl. This comes with the chicken shawarma, hummus and 2 pitas of course. But then we have - 2 types of tahini and caramelized onions. Some chickpeas as well. - 3 types of side sauce lemon, mango pickle and schug hot sauce. - Plus some condiments such as cauliflower, jalapeño, olives and carrots. Overall, very filling and delicious for $15. Have to say that the pitas knocked it out of the park. So soft and fresh. Almost like a Naan. If I had to offer any criticism; it’s that I’d prefer a little more spice in the meat and the schug sauce. Look forward to trying the Chuck Stew Hummus bowl and the Matbucha fries which are the 2 items on the menu that are marked as popular. Also would like to try the pita pockets PS: On Saturday, you get free refills of Hummus. Shout out to Daniel, who is a partner in the business, was super friendly and chatty. Explained everything well. And gave extra hot sauce because I like it spicy.
I’ve gotten their hummus bowls a few times and it never disappoints! It travels well and the hummus is sooo creamy and smooth. My fave is the mushroom bowl bc I love their juicy mushrooms. The pita is also super fluffy and soft. The portions are also really good, like you’ll definitely be super full after. Sometimes I save half the bowl and a pita for lunch the next day :
When bowls are life! This delicious and super filling hummus bowl is from a hole in the wall right by Yonge & Dundas Square. Staff was very polite and friendly. Took a minute to find the restaurant walking here but their yellow sign is like a beacon guiding you to deliciousness. Food is a great portion size give you two pitas and very filling without making you feel sluggish since it’s not your typical oily fast food!
I am really fond of mediterranean food and was craving shakshuka when we discovered this spot. We tried their egg shakshuka and falafel platter for lunch. The food was tasty, filling and quantity was sufficient. Their hummus, dips and sauces were really flavorful. Both the dishes came with a side of naan and salad. Overall good experience, must try if u like middle eastern food!
Everything I ate here was great! The wrap was probably my favourite- it had absolutely no meat, but tasted like there was! The hummus was extremely creamy.. they must take off the chickpea shells or have a seriously good blender. The shaksuka needed to be rendered down a bit more, but besides that very good overall
? Look no further than @thehummussiah @thehummussiah to get your hummus spread. If you love hummus and tahini then this is the place for you. Try the hummus bowl with slowly stewed beef. Outdoor sitting available although only 4 small tables.
Delicious creamy hummus served with crispy falafels and other choice of sides. My bowl comprised of falafels, eggplants and chicken schnitzel. I’ve tried it with and without salad and I definitely prefer it with. The pita bread is soft and warm and is the ideal carrier for hummus. The portions are good that you’re bound to have leftovers and reasonably priced. Pro tip: It’s quite garlicky so make sure you have some mints or gum on you if you’re planning to head to work/class.
