Fries was surprisingly amazing! Chicken and beef were way too dry. Preferred shawarma/wrap than bowl, don’t like baklavathe sugary taste was too much for me.
Authentic taste, vegetables are fresh and lots of choices. I had beef plate and lentil soup - portions were big and the taste was great. It is a good place to sit down for a lunch, chairs are comfortable. The lady who took my order was very lovely.Recommended dishesLentil Soup, Beef Shawarma Plate
Excellent Shawarma! We tried the beef and chicken shawarma. Each with three side salads. High quality ingredients, copious amounts of food & friendly staff. The only negative is there is so much food packed in the container. It would be nice if they separated the salads from the meat, but no biggie. We will be back. Overall a solid A, highly recommend!
Would return. Plates are the go-to here. Get the Eggplant as a side, it's very flavorful. Garlic is par, hummus is par. Chicken by itself isn't flavourful but that's why you have garlic/tahini/chilli etc etc. Generous portions, good value for money. $10-$15pp. Takes AMEX.
Superb authentic taste for Lebanese food. And I always notice how each time I visit the vegetables are always freshly cut. Ubaidi seems nice
Not great, not bad. Had the mix shwarma, meat was well seasoned and portion was great. The hot sauce disappointing for me it's important, rice was average at best, and samosa not worth mentioning. Still, decent quality, price and service.
Shawarma was okay, the flavour was not really that exciting. Staff are very friendly and the portion sizes are great.
An absolutely delicious experience! I was literally wandering downtown looking for lunch when I stumbled across Lebanon Express. The beautiful mounds of freshly made food waiting to serve the lunch crowd enticed me in. I was not looking for a beef kafta/kofta, but I had an unfulfilling kofta at another restaurant weeks earlier that made me want to have a do-over. I was initially told that the kafta would take 10-15 minutes and I honestly didn't want to wait that long. But the owner was there and told me that it was more like 7-10 minutes, but that's what you get for freshly made food. The price point of $15-16 before tax felt steep initially, but you might see from the picture that you get a lot of quality food. There is a wide selection of sides, freshly cooked onions and tomatoes to go with the kafta I really received all the fixings! The only drawback is that the kafta was a little on the dry side, but I think the owner cut them in half to cook them faster. Otherwise they were still very flavourful and hearty. The large portion certainly made up for the kafta as well as the wide selection of sides and wonderful flavours they all had. Excellent hospitality from the owner. Will definitely go there again. Vegetarian options: There were quite a few sides that could make up a healthy vegetarian dish. Wheelchair accessibility: One step up into the restaurant. Cannot recall if there was a button to open the door for you or not.
Food is tasty enough. I don’t think the flavours are consistent with each visit. Staff are very pleasant. Portions are just right. As another reviewer mentioned. Hummus is not wowing the taste buds. There’s room for improvement. But good if you don’t feel like cooking yourself.
I got the beef shawarma plate w rice and kale and chickpeas. Very tasty. Salted perfectly. Good garlic spreads as well.
