First and foremost, not having to deal with a person and just getting to eat, a solid win already. The food itself was great for the most part. Pita chips were very crispy, hummus tasted great although the spicy wasn’t spicy at all? and you’ve got a few choices to choose from. It’s like a build your plate type of style, think chipotle, except you do it through a screen and receive your order like you like in a spaceship. Worth experiencing just for that alone!
Great place, got hot dinner for 19 cad with HST. Good amount of food for the price, freshly cooked. Strong covid policies where they sanitize the screens right after you touch them as well as you get your food without being in direct contact with the staff. Menu is pretty broad for the size of the restaurant. The only issue I see is that it's location is a bit hidden and my friend and I were not sure if it is actually a restaurant. Staff member that interacted with us was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place.
A very interesting new concept restaurant from a trusted brand, especially beneficial in pandemic times. However value for money is extremely low with the two featured meals costing $40. The protein serving is minimal at a $5.99 addition and the hummus and chips are slapped in the box with the rest of the meal, instead of a being the expected appetizer. It was delicious and the food was good quality which is the only reason it gets three stars. With the only clientele at the moment being locals instead of the more affluent financial district patrons, I just don't see the cost flying for most of us. Simply not worth the gimmicks.
Fantastic food! Love the hummus and the wraps are always very tasty. Will be coming back more often!
Box'd by Paramount was OKAY at most.. *ordered via Uber Eats from Yorkville location* EXPERIENCE: I ordered 3 of the" Box's hot's" with different sides/ and hummus types with each plate with the same protein Striplioin. and 1 berry smoothie. I was called by the restaurant and told they only had regular hummus when they're supposed to have 5 available and they only had the one type of carb lentil rice when there are supposed to have another 2 available which we ordered. Nevertheless, we were forced to go with with what was available.. FOOD QUALITY/QUANTITY: -Steak was tough with no sear, but it was medium which is why I gave a star- it was almost as if it was cooked sous-vide and the poor steak didn't even smell a grill/ pan. In terms of portion, this was fit for a hungry 10 year old after soccer practice. Something like 4 pieces of 2cm thick slices. Hummus was regular, salad was fresh, and rice was good, but again, stingy with the portions.. OVERALL: Faikh must be commended for the concept of the restaurant, but I personally would not order again. you'd be way better off in terms of quality, price, and quantity to order from you local Kebob Shop.
Total disappointment and felt ripped off for what I received. I thought I was receiving a full salad. What I got was a wedge of lettuce with some items radish, onions and seeds. I added chicken as a protein. Very disappointing for what I paid. I threw out the lettuce wedge it was not edible. Not recommended at all. This cost 22.00 . I also tried juice of the day. It was mango mixed with something else. Don't recommend that either as it was very bitter. Many other places where you can get a full meal / salad for half the cost of this place.
Just visited a new Box’d paramount place and had wedge salad. Tasted amazing, staff were amazingly nice. Also tried a truffle humus, never saw it anywhere before. Will definitely come back
4.5 stars. Food is creative and delicious and I see myself trying another one of their wraps.
Fabulous middle eastern food for quick take-out downtown! My order was ready in less than 10 minutes. I was attracted by chicken wrap and mango hummus, so I ordered it immediately. All food was good, but the chicken was falling out of the wrap as it's not packed at the bottom. The hummus is amazing! The staff was very polite and friendly. I've enjoyed a small chat with the hostess. I would recommend this place to my colleagues and friends.
I had the spicy chicken wrap with the salad and oh, my goodness. Worth the wait. Soft and warm with a little bit of crispiness and a hint of spice. I can't wait to go back to try their hummous!
