The Hound Lounge is conveniently located at 80 Ellis Dr., Unit 1, in Barrie’s south end. It’s ideal for commuters; just minutes away from Hwy 400 and the Go Station.
In addition to daycare we offer professional grooming and boarding. We also carry a great selection of hard to find frozen raw dog food.

My partner & I are glad that we found Hound Lounge! We were very nervous to have Leo board anywhere, but Charlene has been nothing but kind and patient throughout the entire process. Everything was explained in detailed and Leo has had many 'sleepovers' since! He loves going to Hound Lounge and the staffs are fabulous. Thank you so much!

Each time I picked up my dog from this daycare, she was upset and whimpered the whole way home. While in the care of the Hound Lounge, she was put in isolation when she was injured, and then I got scolded for not being available to pick my dog up, while she was at the daycare. The owner is extremely hostile and is not approachable. She spoke in a disrespectful manner towards me and my significant other. The owner has no problem placing the blame on every one else. This was an extremely negative experience and I would never send my dog to daycare there again.

After looking for a place for my 10 month old Labrador, Pharah, I decided to give The Hound Lounge a shot due to recommendations from others, and the 5 star rating. All I can say is it's 5-star for a reason! Staff is extremely friendly, the place was remarkably clean, much cleaner than you would expect for a place full of dogs! And they had a large padded indoor play area for the dogs that looked like a great place for them to socialize and have fun. If they had a bigger outdoor area, or a larger play pen area for the dogs to get a real run in, it would literally be perfect! Definitely go check this place out!

The Hound Lounge in Barrie has been the most amazing place for our puppy boxer Cooper! Everyone that works at the Hound Lounge have been super with our puppy. Cooper had a bad experience at another daycare and I was very nervous to bring him anywhere… However it was highly recommended for me to try the Hound Lounge, so I called. Even with all my fears and Coopers I knew Cooper needed the socialization so I contacted the Hound Lound and spoke to the owner Charlene and explained Coopers story and my fears. Charlene was so kind on the phone and took the time to hear the full story on how Cooper got severely hurt at another doggie daycare. She then invited us to come in for a tour so I hesitantly agreed and Cooper and I went. When I arrived for his tour and for his temperament testing, the owner Charlene took time to talk to me all about the Hound Loung and gave me a tour of their Very clean premises. She understood my fears and she made me feel at ease on our tour. Charlene and her team assured me fully, that Cooper would be just fine, and they would take very good care of him. Well now it is months later and Cooper can't wait to get to the Hound Lounge to see his friends and the ladies that work there! They have helped him re-adjust back to playing with dogs again and they have loved him as if he was one of their own! We even trust them so much we left him in their pet hotel for a week while we were away! I never thought I would be able to trust anyone again with Cooper however the Hound Lounge is the best doggie day care there is and I didn't worry even for a minute while we were away! They have been so very kind to us and there are no words to express our thanks to this amazing and wonderful team of people! Cooper will be at the Hound Lounge for a long time, were he feels loved and we feel secure! If you are looking for an amazing Doggie Daycare look no further then the Hound Lounge, you will never find any other like it and you will never leave them once you bring your fur baby there even for one day! Thank you for everything you do for our Cooper! You will have us as customers for life and our gratitude for your care towards Cooper! Sincerely The Valentine's
