At The Hound, we're all about darn good food. We've been serving both here in beautiful Sandpoint since 2015. There's nothing quite like sampling our selection of craft beers while enjoying the patio view. Make it a meal and try one of our rustic, homemade pizzas baked fresh on-site, or grab a sandwich and some tasty appetizers instead. Whatever you choose, you're bound to have a blast when you come 'round The Hound.

Reviews

Visited during a cold cold winter weekend. The inside of the restaurant was very busy so we moved to the covered outdoor seating. I had my doubts but the area warmed up quickly and the service was great. A selection of local beers partnered well with some good pizza. Friendly staff who made sure we were taken care during our visit. The inside is good for seating groups of 2 to four but the outside has room for larger groups.

Well what can you say about a place that has great pizza and beer? They have great service too.... AND they are also soccer fans and regularly have games playing on one or more of their TV's. They have other sports on sometimes too, if that really matters.

So in review: If you love pizza, beer, great service and soccer, or any combination of these, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

My sister and I went here for homecoming dinner, we didn't want anything to fancy, but still nice... The service was great! The waitress was personal and even left a little note on our receipt... We are gluten free and their gluten free pizza is amazing!!! We own a local business and I refer people their all the time, great food for sure!!! Would definitely recommend it!

Excellent. Staff wonderful. Clientele not so much! Includes me. Other people sinking heavily and rude.  But got an exquisite pizza and now eating it at home!

I highly recommend this establishment. Staff are attentive and service prompt. Great pizza!

Worst experience! Terrible service! Food was awful! We have a place a few miles from the hound so we thought we would stop in and grab a bite. It was a little busy but not bad. I had to go to the counter to get a menu... 10-15 mins later I had to go to the counter to get my drinks. Then finally we placed our order. Fries were cold by the time we received ketchup and even had to ask for that twice — fries were worth maybe $3 but no where near $8. Staff was not very friendly or apologetic in any way for their lack of decent service. The Pizza sat on the counter for more than 15 mins. We watched it get cold! I will not be going back which is too bad because we are there often. Maybe they treat locals better than tourists!
