Story

If Spud’s is one thing, it’s fresh. Fresh in the sense that we make everything from scratch, from every dressing, sauce and chutney, to elaborate soups and outstanding desserts. Spud’s is also fresh in the sense in that our classic menu is continually re-inspired by worldly flavors, regional style and seasonal ingredients. We adore the sophisticated touch of the West’s best restaurants, and honor the casual comforts of small town North Idaho. Located in picturesque downtown Sandpoint, Idaho, Spud’s Waterfront’s reputation extends beyond the shores of Lake Pend Oreille as an excellent restaurant for locals and travelers alike. Dock your boat on the boardwalk, bike up from the beach, pull in on your way to the mountain, walk in before catching a show at the Panida.

Spuds is ready for the summer. We are now serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My boyfriend and I ate here on our way to Kalispell and we absolutely loved it. He got the traditional spud as I got their special which was a chicken, bacon, ranch spud. This is definitely a place we will be coming back to!
Beautiful location, terrible experience for gluten-free diners.nnI was excited to try this restaurant for their advertised gluten-free options, but the experience was disappointing. When I told the cashier I was gluten- and dairy-free, he laughed and seemed clueless. The manager’s response was dismissive, but we ordered anyway.nnThe avocado was hard and inedible, the potato was dry, and no one checked on us. The only staff in the dining area were busboys, including the one who laughed at me, so I didn’t feel comfortable asking for anything.nnIf you don’t want to serve people with food allergies, don’t advertise “gluten-free” all over your menu. The location is beautiful, but the service and food quality were poor.
We stopped in for our daughter to get some soup, but we were blown away that we could get any sandwich put on a baked potato instead of bread! It was not only delicious but beautiful as well! I had the roast beef, which was made right there on the grill and was very tender and full of flavor. My husband had the burger on the baked potato, and the staff said that was a first that someone tried it that way. Great place, creative food, and nice deck to sit on enjoying the water. You do order and pay at the counter and then they bring the food out to the table, but that was no problem for us. We'd definitely come again!
Great lunch spot! Excellent location right on the lake with ample patio seating. Broccoli cheese potato was cooked just right with plenty of garnishes. BLT was excellent as well. Quick service, good prices.
Semi self serve counter - order, pay, find a seat and food will be delivered. View on the deck over the marina was wonderful. Potato leek soup was excellent. No bake peanut butter cookie was tasty!
