Worst Home Depot experience! Went in to buy a storage unit. The store clerk told me they had 11 in stock, but when I asked for assistance to purchase 2, she said they couldn’t locate them in the store. Customer service then told me they might be on the truck. I explained that if it’s still on the truck, that means it’s not really in stock. She insisted it was “in stock,” but I still couldn’t buy it. I’m still waiting for an answer. Complete waste of time going here!
I did a curbside pick up recently for a patio umbrella. It took 3 days after opening an order before receiving an email notifying me to pick it up. When I showed up, I was shocked at how many cars were waiting for their order. I spoke to a few people and some had waited for more than an hour. Luckily, I only had to wait 25 min. Two weeks ago, I went to the Customer Service desk at Home Depot to return several items. I had many receipts in my email and wasn’t sure which cards I had used for the purchases. A lady—whose name I couldn’t remember until today, when I finally found the receipt—Ms. Heidi, helped me with great patience, professionalism, and kindness to complete the returns.nnI want to sincerely thank Heidi for her excellent service, and also thank the management for choosing such great staff.
I’ve always had decent experiences at this Home Depot store, until now! Tonight, I had an absolutely unacceptable interaction with one of your staff members, an old woman whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch. As I was wrapping up my patio furniture shopping, I went to quickly grab a hose sprayer before closing. Instead of treating me with basic respect, this staff member kept repeating, “It’s 9 o’clock, you have to leave,” in a robotic and aggressive tone, no courtesy, no patience, no customer service.nnI was shocked by how rude and dismissive she was. I wasn’t loitering or wasting time, I was about to make a purchase. Her attitude was so off-putting that I left everything behind and walked out. I refuse to spend my money at a store where customers are treated like an inconvenience.nnThis kind of behaviour reflects poorly not only on the staff but also on the management for allowing such a disrespectful culture to exist. I hope this is addressed seriously, because no customer should be pushed out the door like that, especially when they’re ready to buy.
